Why didn't we just draft Locker? I guess if we got Locker, we wouldn't have Green so I can't say much. Hopefully Dalton gets it together, but I'm worried.

I did mention Ridley. He's the #6 RB on our depth chart right now. (1. Green-Ellis DNP, 2. Woodhead Start RB, 3. Faulk PUP, 4. Morris Start FB, 5. Vereen DNP injured 6. Ridley)

As for our dbacks, you faced Arrington, who started last year because Bodden got injured, and Meri/Chung for the beginning. But our safeties arent pass coverage safeties, they are run stoppers. They rarely impact the passing game.

It depends on what failing is with Gabbert to me. He'll never be a bigtime QB like a Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, etc.

So he was going against a decent amount of starters Gabbert was then. Who was Mallett going against......3rd Stringers/special teamers/guys who wont make the team. Mallett did nice, but he was going up against shitty dudes, but he did well though. Ill give him that, but don't say that till he goes against 1st and 2nd team people because Mallett hasn't yet so technically its not the same level of players.

The one thing I love about Locker and Dalton specifically, is while watching them being interviewed and watching them play, they are the two guys that seemed like they genuinely love the game of football, and will work as hard as they can to be the best they can.

Locker did look good, he passed well, I would like to see him let loose and run more to keep the defense on their toes, but if he puts the work in like he's showing he is, I think he'll be very good, too. Best case scenario for Locker, is a player like Aaron Rodgers. Worst case, a David Garrard (when he was a bit younger).

As for Dalton, I still think he'll be a good QB. It was a tough showing for him last week, but once he has confidence in what he knows and what he's doing, he'll be fine. He's a great team leader, and when he throws with confidence, I do not question his arm strength at all. Best case scenario, I think he'll turn in to a Matt Cassel kind of player, which isn't a bad thing at all. He can be a guy who is good enough to lead a team, but isn't elite. Worst case, is a guy like Alex Smith, who still can win some games.

So he'll be a pro bowl QB as the best case scenario? He needs a shit load of more talent to do anything close to what Matt did last year.

That's fine with me, lol. Andrew Whitworth is just as good, but we won't be giving him some huge deal, I do know that, but an extension would be nice.

Yes, close at least. Andrew Whitworth is one of the most underrated offensive lineman in the entire NFL. I'm not taking anything away from Thomas of course, but I like what we have with Whitworth. He's one of the good players that we have, who is under looked. Thomas is a great, there's no denying that. Too bad Whitworth is about the only good one.

I can see Dalton going to a Pro Bowl or two, but won't be a yearly player.
Hell, Vince Young went twice, Garrard has went.
It's not that hard to go to a Pro Bowl with a lot of player declining to go.
