Also just to note on Carrasco, this was his first full year starting, and even this year was cut short. He's got great stuff like I said, and I truly believe he an be a #2 type pitcher, who will be the #3 guy on our staff behind Ubaldo and Masterson.

how badass would Kemp and Kershaw walking away with MVP and Cy Young be?

I'll take Lee over Kershaw as the Cy young, especially if Lee goes on one of his one month tears again..

Also, Kemp has an outside chance at the Triple Crown. Would be pretty cool to see that.

im definitely not arguing against anyone who says Lee or Halladay is CY over Kershaw, but i do believe CK is at least 2nd
I just really want to see CK get it obviously

Kemp wont get the triple crown, and i doubt he gets MVP with sucks because he really deserves it

I hope at least one wins

Him and Bautista winning the MVPs in the same year would definitley be a step in the right direction when it comes to how the awards are perceived. Although I still might give the NL MVP to Upton who is pretty much carrying the Dbacks offensively.

is he though?
plays in a hitters park (his road splits suck)
Ryan Roberts and Miguel Montero are way more help than the Dodgers have
hudson, saunders and kennedy have been nails, bullpen has been solid

i do agree he's the best out of the bunch and im not trying to completely dismiss him, he's having a great year
but Kemp is having the better season

I'll give you Montero, he's having a solid year, but Roberts is just a decent/good player. and although I wouldn't base candidates on being on successful teams, Upton really is carrying the team offensively and they have a pretty good record despite not having much in the lineup around him. Hudson and Kennedy are two pretty good pitchers, Saunders is just marginal.

you're underestimating Roberts
only Youk, Longo, Beltre, ARam, Mark Reynolds OPS higher than him as a 3B
4th best OBP of any 3B as well

go through their lineup and go through the dodger lineup
there isnt one person on the dodgers you'd take over a dback (maybe ethier over young, but even so, 1 guy)

Upton has plenty of help and he's in a great hitters park

I wouldn't take many guys on the Dodgers over the Diamondbacks because they're all pretty much equal aside from Montero and Roberts, and then Ethier on the Dodgers. (and by equal, I mean equally bad)

you are really underestimating the dbacks

thats the difference between them and the dodgers
they can score, and for pretty much the whole season, we couldnt

if we had any sort of offense we'd be in this
as it is, the dodgers are the only team in baseball with the 2nd best run differential in their division and are not in 2nd place

I'm not underestimating them at all..

Today they started Justin Upton, Willi Bloomquist, Gerrardo Para, Paul Goldschmidt (Who is a nice young player, but not that good right now), Aaron Hill, Geoff Blum, Collin Cowgill, and Henry Blanco, and still scored 10 runs.. Bad players get random timely hits when you're hot.

looking at them is weird, i know

last month the dodgers lost because kershaw gave up a homer to kelly johnson(who is awful vs lefties) and cody ransom(who is just plain awful)
they have some magic

they can score runs though. top 5 in runs, top 5 in slugging and ops in the NL
dodgers as a whole are a poor offense

what are we arguing anyways?
kemp is more deserving of the MVP than Upton is what im trying to say lol

I was arguing that Upton is carrying a playoff team offensively.. It's similar to the case Adrian Gonzalez had as a MVP last year, but the Padres fell apart.

ok, sure, but lets not act like he's doing it alone
dbacks dont have any household names aside from him offensively, but as a unit they flat out mash

last year Cargo and Pujols got more votes than Adrian and didnt make the playoffs, so hopefully that bodes well for Kemp :D

and again, im not trying to undermine him
i'd probably have him top 5

I think that Braun will probably win it, although I don't think he should.

i just want to say, Adrian didnt make the playoffs either last year so Pujols and Cargo getting more votes was meh, although Adrian was eliminated on the last day of the season.

just a clear up

i agree with you too cheato
i think Braun has it locked up

Expecting a Pittsburgh-esque performance from last season from Strasburg, going to be disappointed with anything less. :D
