Well, since you didn't watch the game I understand you probably have no idea and the stats can be a bit misleading at times. The Tigers blew two runs, one by throwing the ball in the dirt past Cabrera at first that should have been out and then a routine ground ball to 2B or SS was bobbled and scored another that should have been an out, which both cost him two runs. Every time he'd get in some kind of trouble with guys on base, he'd get a ground ball double play to get out of it and it's not like the Texas Rangers offense is easy, so 8 hits against them with only 2 ERA, I'll take it. For his Tigers debut against the Rangers, he did a good job. He pitched a good game against one of the better offenses, he allowed 8 hits, so what. Two of the runs should never have happened? He had 0 strikeouts and gave up 8 hits.. A lot more runs should have happened.
I was just happy with what I saw & I could care less what anyone else thinks. I'm not saying he pitched a Verlander-like game, he pitched good enough for us to win and that's a ton better than Phil Coke & Charlie Furbush. Only guy I'm worried about now is Brad Penny.
