I'm not saying we're going to be a top 5 seed and get to the WCF, but I would be shocked if we didn't battle for the 7th and 8th seed. There are people who actually think the Hornets will win less than 10 games.

The Clippers couldn't make the playoffs with those cast of characters + Blake Griffin. I highly doubt the Hornets will without Blake.

By saying they will battle for one of the last two playoff spots I don't think I'm really expecting too much.

So saying the Hornets will battle teams like (teams that people listed) Golden State, Minnesota, Denver, and Sacramento means I'm overrating them? Not even close.

They are better than some of the teams I see people putting at #7 and #8.

Only team I would take our of my Western playoff teams would be Sacramento, but I'd put Memphis in.

There's just too much talent in the West to put high hopes on New Orleans.

whoa, you put sacramento in there and not memphis? what are you smoking? lmao. new orleans would make it before sacramento and i dont know how memphis wont. the west isnt as strong as it was a few years back either but i just cant see new orleans making it but they do got a way better chance then sacramento.

If everyone expects the same 16-20 teams in the playoffs then this topic is pointless.

Your overrating the West because just about everyone has a team like Sacramento, Golden State, Denver, New Orleans, Phoenix and even Minnesota getting in.

I think it's strong through the first six, then the seventh team will get in fairly easily. But the 8th spot can go to a number of different teams. I mean heck we haven't even talked about the Rockets and I think they could get in.

Thats exactly my point, Nola. Aside from maybe 2 or 3 teams, every other team in the West is very talented. Thats why it's tough to say we're underrating the Hornets when they're among a group of 5 or 6 teams all fighting for 2 playoff spots.

I'm saying people are underrating the Hornets because there are people (obviously not talking about this site because we haven't seen records) who actually think they'll finish like 15-51 and not even challenge for a spot.
