I know for real...like really Sarge? Sign with the team that gets owned by the team you've been a staple for. Nice. Hope the Pens continue to kick some Senator ass this year.

They gave him that 3rd year with that no trade clause which might end up hurting them actually. Gonchar has been viable to multiple injuries over the past few seasons and he's just getting older, so I'm glad the Pens didn't give him that 3rd year. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't gonna miss him or that the Pens are better off without him. I wish him luck with the Senators, but I don't want him to get the chance to be apart of a win against the Penguins. Paul Martin and Zbynek Michalek are 2 of the best defensemen that were on the market and I'm happy Shero made some moves and locked them up to long term deals. Neither are as skilled offensively as Gonchar but they'll play better in their own end than Gonchar would be capable of doing and Paul Martin is a capable puck moving defenseman. I don't think he's gonna be the #1 point shot on the powerplay though. I still think thats gonna be Malkin's job now.
