Celtics center Kendrick Perkins hasn't been ruled out for Thursday's Game 7 and says he hopes to play, but a team source told ESPN.com that he's "done."
Perkins sprained his right knee in the first quarter of Game 6, which the Lakers won easily to force a deciding game.
"It's the NBA Finals and Kendrick Perkins is in our hearts," said teammate Ray Allen, who admitted he didn't think it was likely that Perkins would return.
Perkins tweaked his knee after getting sandwiched between Andrew Bynum and Kobe Bryant while trying to grab an offensive rebound in the first quarter.

Kendrick Perkins was walking under his own power, albeit stiffly, according to a report from Ric Bucher of ESPN.
"I'm going to try to give it a go," said Perkins about potentially playing in Game 7.

The Celtics will be without starting center Kendrick Perkins in Game 7 of the NBA Finals against the Lakers on Thursday night.
Perkins tore two ligaments in his knee in Game 6 on Tuesday night.
"He's not gonna go," Celtics coach Doc Rivers said.
Perkins, who was walking on crutches, said that he would have missed the season had he suffered the injury back in December.
"I haven't decided," Rivers said of who will start in place of Perkins. "We'll just wait until tomorrow."
