this is why I hate interleague, our best reliever, Scott Downs, got injured yesterday running the bases, I hope it's just something minor

But NL pitchers have to do it everyday.
It's only fair AL does it somewhat too...

call me untraditional but I think it's dumb and not a challange at all to have the pitcher at all. It basically means you have an 8 man lineup with one guy K'ing and bunting 95 out of 100 times.

I meant a pitcher batting
It may not be a challenge, but it makes it fair.
There's no point in putting NL pitchers at risk of getting hit, getting hurt on bases, etc. and not doing it to AL pitchers occasionally

I have to disagree. Fortunately it makes the game more mental and situational. Unlike the AL where benches are depleted going into the 8th, the NL has to use more strategy and small ball as opposed to the AL. Pitchers hitting is a big part of our NL game and its the AL's complacency to not get enough reps for interleague play. You have to use more strategy and decide when to pull a pitcher as opposed to the DH where that has no factor on the game. And there are actually a good amount of pitchers who can hit, Josh Beckett hit a HR last week and he's an AL pitcher.

Price on the mound for Rays. Would be nice to see him last and get his 2nd win. He has the capability, he just has control issues and throws too many pitches, way too early.

Rick Porcello went 2-3, with 2 RBIs for the Tigers his last start.

I've said it before, Porcello is a stud anywhere you put him.

BTW Rivera is better than Broxton with the exception of the ERA. Broxton has two blown saves this year.

I love how Guillen decides to have all his fielding brain farts when Greinke is pitching
