Wow thats not trivia, thats torture, lol.
Wow he's going to make a ton of money through arbitration. Hopefully the Giants arent dumb and realize that this kid needs to stay in SF for his entire career. The Giants have made a three-year offer to Tim Lincecum, their ace right-hander whose arbitration hearing is scheduled for Friday, according to a report in the San Francisco Chronicle on Thursday.
A Major League source told the paper that the Giants offered the back-to-back National League Cy Young Award winner a three-year contract worth $37 million with annual escalating salaries of $9.5 million for 2010, $12.5 million for 2011 and $15 million for 2012.
The source added that Lincecum's camp countered with a proposal of more than $40 million.
Both the Giants and Lincecum's agent declined to confirm or deny the figures, the newspaper said.

Johnny Damon apparently received an offer from the Atlanta Braves and a sales pitch from Chipper Jones.
David O'Brien of the Atlanta JC reports today that the Braves' one-year offer is for about $4.5 million, with some of that money deferred. O'Brien cites a source who says the Braves asked Jones to reach out to Damon about the benefits of playing in Atlanta. Chipper likely mentioned the chance to play for Bobby Cox, considered one of the top player's managers in the game.
Marc Bowman of MLB.com says the offer to Damon is for less than $4 million, including deferred cash.
ESPN The Magazine's Buster Olney writes in today's blog that "there is speculation among some of Damon's friends that in a perfect world, he'd like to play for a team that has spring training near his Florida home -- like the Braves or the Rays or Tigers. This could be why team Damon never seriously considered overtures from the Athletics."
What about the Tigers? Detroit GM Dave Dombrowski told the Detroit Newsthat the Tigers "aren't close to anything" on Damon.
They're not dumb. They'll pay him something whether he goes to arbitration or not.Wow he's going to make a ton of money through arbitration. Hopefully the Giants arent dumb and realize that this kid needs to stay in SF for his entire career.
The Tigers made Damon an offer today. I believe 14 million over 2 years. Waiting on his choice.
Do it Damon :]
I don't really even care we are over paying him, I love Damon.
Buster Olney/ESPN - Johnny Damon is expected to sign with Detroit, at least according to an overwhelming number of executives that spoke with ESPN's Buster Olney.
SAN FRANCISCO -- Right-hander Tim Lincecum and the San Francisco Giants avoided a salary arbitration hearing Friday morning by agreeing to a multiyear contract, pending a physical examination, the Giants have confirmed.
FOX Sports reported the deal is for two years and $23 million.
The sides had been discussing the structure of a three-year contract for the two-time National League Cy Young Award winner, who was in St. Petersburg, Fla., for his hearing. The Giants reportedly offered $37 million over three years, prompting Lincecum and his agents to seek a package exceeding $40 million.
Lincecum had filed for $13 million through the arbitration process, while the Giants countered with $8 million. If his 2010 salary tops $10 million, he'll become the highest-paid third-year player in Major League Baseball history
Another outfielder entered the free agent class earlier this week when the Oakland Athletics released Willy Taveras, who was acquired last month in a deal with the Cincinnati Reds.
Taveras cleared waivers Thursday and was offered a minor league deal by the Houston Astros, reports the Houston Chronicle.
ESPN.com's Jerry Crasnick reported earlier this week that the Astros were willing to give Taveras a chance to compete with Cory Sullivan, Alex Romero and others for a spot off the bench.
The Athletics will be on the hook for Taveras' $4 million salary, but that will be reduced to $400,000 if he signs with another team.
