we aren't comparing if Pierce can carry a team now in this moment...you said Pierce never made it to the finals carrying a team (with no mention of a specific time period) so I said he made it to the ECF in 2001-2002 with a scrub team much like LeBron's Cavs last year, maybe worse.

And if you don't believe me take a look at this:
Rodney Rogers
Kenny Anderson
Tony Delk
Tony Battie
Eric Williams
Joe Johnson
Vitaly Potapenko
Walter McCarty
Milt Palacio
Kedrick Brown
Mark Blount
Joseph Forte
Randy Brown

go ahead and tell me having Big Z, Hughes, Gibson, and Gooden on your team is not better than that.
I think all you need is Milt Palacio to be a good team :)

Lebron's was worse. A lot of those players on that list actually performed in those playoffs. And that's back when Antoine Walker was actually good...like all-star level almost.

Bad call by the refs on that crucial play.
And they missed a couple of and ones.

Doesn't matter. Tonight it was a law that if you touched Pierce you were gonna get called with a foul

I disagree, well with Boozer.

Okur is a little overrated but Boozer has been playing hurt. And he's shown what he could do when he took over the end of game 3 or 4 (cant remember hich one)

lol
hornets in the finals is laughable
they're overachieving more than the Cavs of last season

I could see the Cavs getting to the Finals this season however

How?

I mean they have the best player in the playoffs so far in Paul. He's torched the Mavs and Spurs, two pretty good defensive teams.

Plus I think the NBA would kill to advertise there two best players not named Kobe. Paul vs. Lebron

i'm not gonna say the Hornets suck or anything like that
They just dont have anyone who matches up well with Kobe
they cant win on the road, and we have HCA
Fish played pretty well against DWill in the 2nd round, and i'm sure he could play semi-decently against Paul

The Lakers also have a 30 point vitory chalked up aginst the Hornets, IN new orleans, without Gasol

If the Lakers end up playing the Hornets(which i dont see happening), i think it'll be us in 5

Noone can on the road really in these playoffs. I mean both teams did in the 1st round but they were playing teams who were like underachieving in the Mavs and Nuggets. In the 2nd round Lakers have won 1 road game and Hornets haven't won any.

Plus I just feel that with all the promotion and all the NBA has done to "Rebuild New Orleans", I just have a feeling that the NBA wants a New Orleans team in the Finals with a top 5 player in the league vs. the next greatest player. Even though an LA-Celtics/Cavs matchup would bring ratings. I don't feel the Pistons would bring ANY ratings. Same with the Spurs.

Hornets and Lakers are so similar IMO in there style. Work the ball around for the open shot. Both have inside scorers in GAsol and West. Each team has great shooters with New Orleans having the better shooters IMO. But the Lakers have the best player in the league right now and none if it matters if he plays possessed.

But who knows? I just think that the Hornets would take it in 6 or 7.
