Great news to start the week. After years of struggling to find a legit safety, we drafted Harrison. The guy has been nothing short of a phenom in purple thus far.
I just started reading into the Mariners' offensive numbers yesterday and thought, "wow...this is MLB's best kept secret." Fact is the coverage still revolves around the Yanks and Red Sox.
Girardi wisely went to Chapman with 1 out in the 8th, knowing they were about to tarp the field. Betances managed to get Machado on strikes but threw 33 pitches.
The Helwani situation is just the latest for me and my constant rooting for Zuffa to fail. I know its a long shot but the UFC has become too damn big. They continue to control the ad money going into individual fighter's pockets and are now dictating the media coverage. What a crock of shit.
I'd look at the Angels. They can get Crawford on the cheap, they aren't crazy about their OF, and are desperate for any sort of pop in the bottom half of the lineup.
You guys shouldn't act as if moving Reyes was going to be easy. His decline is very real, as were his 2015 numbers, and his massive contract. The Rockies have tried to gauge interest but despite what Reyes' agent says, nobody wants him.
Apparently a quiet bidding war between Chi Sox and KC went down. I'm thinking the Sox were willing to pick up more of the remaining $$ in order to make the deal and not mortgage the future. Shields as the #3 SP is great but not at his cost. Certainly doesn't help he went 2.2 IP, 1K, and 33+ ERA...
