    Waiver Deadline Deals

Well now Beltre is injured. Hes had leg problems before that lingered some, Id still say hes the best position player available - if hed waive his 10-5 rights. Boston has pitching but is it enough? We should have gone after Rodney, I doubt we see another reliever as good for nearly as cheap.

Forgot about the QO thats a good idea too. Wonder if a draft pick, a PTBNL and intl $ would do the trick in a waiver trade

That would be the logical choice, but I could see them waiving him to see whats out there before he even comes back. I agree they wont get like a top 5 in the system type spec in return but the right PTBNL list could be intriguing. Take what you can now rather than rely on him resigning a pillow...

    League File Discussion/Gripes

Blatche- At this stage of his career, Blatche started earning starters minutes with his hustle and his face up game. He got after it on defense, and was silky and slippery on offense. He rarely got in foul trouble and got good steals numbers. His quickness, stealing and perimeter and drive...

    Waiver Deadline Deals

I agree Im just saying thats the type of player Id target, someone good enough to warrant keeping and someone who will stick around at years end. I wouldnt deal Swihart for him, but someone like him. Donaldson is a star when healthy, the fact that hes not is crippling his value. Only reason...

Hes expendable to an extent. Id trade him for the likes of a Donaldson or Abreu, someone whos likely to stick around if we win it all this year. Donaldson would be costly, but if hes healthy hed be a great 3B/1B and would allow us to keep Devers active. Abreu would be a solid long term option...

Your WAY too early MVP favorites

Who do you think are the 5 most likely MVP candidates for this season? Will it be a sack master on defense? Will it be a RB who carries his team to the playoffs? Will it be your homer QB? For me, the AFC West is extremely good on the defensive side of the ball - all except for the Chargers...

Nathan Eovaldi Traded to Red Sox

The Pomeranz deal was a bigtime bummer. He had a career season and won't replicate that, especially in the AL East. He's OK for bullpen work but not worth what we gave up for him, hindsight or not I was against the trade from the get go. Eovaldi will be solid depth, question is does he pitch at...
