Giving up what we did for Kimbrell I expect him to pay him what he wants to keep him. Otherwise, we'll end up dealing another top 5 prospect for an aging closer next year.
I really hope you don't expect Bogaerts and Sale to be gone after next season. We should find a way to lock up the B's, and we absolutely must find a way to keep Sale. If letting Kimbrell go is the way, then that's how I'd do it.
That's his 3rd blown save then? Out of 27 S+H opportunities. He's pitched better than his career numbers and has been trending up every year - but I'm not sure high leverage situations are where he needs to be used.
Sox are looking at some first pitches today, 9 of them have been balls so I suppose that's why. Of Urena's 81 pitches, 17 have been put in play and we have 6 hits on those 17 pitches. Good to see the guys playing well at the plate.
Steven Wright threw two hitless, scoreless innings for Triple A Pawtucket tonight. One walk, one strikeout. His first game action since going on the DL with knee inflammation on June 23.
I did the same and it did not produce nearly as well, I think that's cause I based it off of how it did against Minny playing their wack DC instead of how it did as a whole (in all 2 games we played)
