I know how waivers work, lol. I forgot about the 10 days, but my point is if a team like LA wants someone like Verdugo eligible for postseason, they could call him up and send down a reliever or bench player who has an option remaining, and bring him back up 10 days later. I'm sure teams could...

I agree it's too much, but most teams don't call up that many players any way.

So why not just add a player like Verdugo on August 31st? Send a reliever to triple a for 1 day, then bring him back. Or am I missing something?

It's either Xenforo or nothing happens and stick with ipb because we're used to it. There is a 3rd option but it's probably a long shot.

The other forums they have on this server aren't compatible with the software required to upgrade ipb. If we did it, those other forums wouldn't be able to run. We have recently discussed other options so we'll see what happens in the coming weeks.

That's something we've never been able to figure out. I might take another crack at it and see if I can figure out how to add it.

Unfortunately we can't upgrade to the new version. It requires different software on our server, and this site is on the same server as a few other sites our owners run, and it would cause issues. Which is too bad. I've seen the new IPB and it's phenomenal.
