  We wached the replay and the snap was literally right after he stopped moving. Wasn't a full second. It is possible that they said the wrong number, though. Weren't Ginn and Hill in the same area? Either way, based on the rules, it was the correct call.

  It was not. You need to be set for a full second, and if Ginn was set, Hill wasn't. It was two guys who fucked up. Could have called it on either. Brees can't snap the ball that fast after a shift. 

Sucks he had to commit a penalty to make the tackle but Armstead prevented a pick 6 right there. Nobody's catching Barr if he gets to full speed. Not unless Ginn is trailing him.

The  call on 43 was right but I wouldn't have hated it if it was a no call, either.

A great defense forces a great quarterback out of character for spurts of time. Brees will recover.  Sometimes a great quarterback just shreds a great defense, ala Ben earlier. 

You can call them easy throws if you want to--those were tight windows

Question--had that review turned out in an incomplete pass, would it have made it a dead play and the Unsportsmanlike Conduct penalty never would have occurred? Would they, then, have been able to give Pittsburgh 15 yards? I personally think changing that to an incomplete pass should void that...

Why would you make Chris Ivory a healthy scratch in a game like this? You need as many power backs as possible. 

  Agreed, injuries to the wrong guys in-game, aside. Anybody can beat anybody in the regular season, but come playoff time the better teams rise above.

I dunno. Bortles was mostly good this season and he's still cheap   Imagine this Pittsburgh defense if they'd been giving snaps to Harrison over mediocre Bud Dupree and still had Harrison's leadership.

  The only ref who will affect the game today is Al Riveron if he's called upon to make an obvious review call, in which case he'll go the exact opposite of the correct call. Who that call hurts is to be determined.

Good luck to the Saints fans on this board today. Hopefully it's a good game, but I kind of have a feeling that whoever wins will run away with it.
