Minny is a bit high for sure. I didn't really like their offseason honestly... And the Lakers technically aren't a turnaround team. but Brooklyn is definitely #1 on my list.
I see what you're saying. Matrix and Amare are good scorers, but they need a true point guard to be at their best ability. And I totally agree with you that Nash didn't need to shoot, but Phoenix did have good scorers with Nash dishing the ball. That Phoenix team wouldn't be as effective with...
A true point guard makes their players better anyway. The Suns may have not gone far in the playoffs but they finished top 2 in the West for like 3 seasons ever since Nash came to the Suns, how did they not do well? You can't say their supporting cast was amazing when they were one of the worst...
Do you remember how good the Suns were though? The season before Nash came, they were 29-53 (14th in the west), and then they transferred to at a 62-20 record good for 1st in the west. The West was a tough conference to play in too.
Would you rather have a point guard who can rack up on the assist column every night (Nash, Rubio, Kidd, Calderon, Rondo) or a point guard that can rack up on the point total every night (Rose, Westbrook)? In what situations is a scoring point guard better than a true PG and vise-versa...
Carmelo came 2nd and 3rd last year? lol. Lebron without a question though... consistent on a nightly basis and meshes well with the players around him.
I'll have to say Knicks, especially with the addition of Jason Kidd who is a real good distributor, especially for someone like Amare. The 76ers still need to prove themselves. Evan Turner hasn't been as great as expected. Evan Turner and Jrue Holiday are going to have to show up for this team...
I guess if Boston could get rid of Crawfords contract, then they're more willing to go through with a trade involving Adrian. Boston does really need to start fresh and build again. They've really died out after these past couple seasons. Not the same threat they used to be, that's for sure.
1. Miami (Only because they've proven they can win a championship... on paper, I really like the Lakers)
2. LAL
3. OKC
4. SAS (good season last season)
5. Chicago
6. Boston
7. Nets (they have a lot to prove)
8. Clippers
