Just read an article on MLBTR about Andrew Miller and the impact of his 4/36 mil deal he signed with the Yankees back in the 14/15 off-season. Cracks me up. The Astros offered him more money and he left it on the table because they didnt have as good of a chance at winning as the Yankees did...
They are fighting for the wild card presumably with the Angels/Mariners. SP was a need for them and Lynn fills it. Plus, if they fall out of the race in July, they can deal him for prospects. I doubt they are though.
Hardens level of passing is better than Durant imo. Durant plays better defense and has a better shot. Hes the better scorer but James is a better facilitator
I hear ya, but the Rox are on national tv a lot this year. I was ticked i couldnt watch local broadcast last night and was subjected to the trash TNT commentators.
My wife has them. It's a really tough thing for someone to relate to who has never experienced it. When she has one, she is not herself. And all i want to do is help, but I can't. It's something she has to work through on her own. There is definitely a perceived stigma for people who suffer...
A lot of people were tbh. One thing that gets overlooked with Harden is his IQ. Both he and CP3 are too smart of players not to make it work.
Adams is not helping out in the paint right now. The Rockets have whatever they want when they take it to the paint.
The way he has handled CP3 and Harden all year long has been impressive. He loves having CP3 and EG run that second unit. Then EG comes out and Harden goes in. The team never misses a step. It is what separates them from every team not named Golden State
That depends on timing though, right? They could sign LeBron first (for example) and then match on Capela afterwards and go over the cap, right? They would pay that luxury tax, but could still technically do it.
Worst case is CP3 leaves for another team and Rockets are back in rebuild mode. The Rox match any offers Capela gets. Then they go hard core after LeBron to no avail.
BP, i hear your point, and I do accept it. You cant deny it. I just believe that after watching this team for 3/4 of the season, maybe this is something bigger than their past. MDA's teams never played defense, yet this one has been hovering around the top 10 in defensive efficiency all season...
