If he never shattered his ankle he wouldn't be overpaid. Can't say he's overpaid when he's recovering from a devastating injury, it took PG like a year and a half to get back to normal after his injury
Like CC said, that only happens when guys want to take a short one year deal to boost their value so that they can make more money in the long run (betting on themselves because they want more money), or vets looking for a ring.
No I completely agree with all of that, he's not making some massive sacrafice by taking the min, it's basically all he was offered. And he signed with them immediately which would suggest that he had no other offers worth noting
Depends on how much more, I don't think he chooses a worse situation for $1M more, that doesn't make a difference to someone with over $20M coming in annually from Adidas, if it were like $6/$7M more, then year he's gonna take the money cause it would be stupid not to
