You can't always rely on traditional stats especially when it comes to fielding.
Errors and fielding percentage don't tell anything about how well a player fields.
That is a good point you bring up. It shows why using your eyes is also such an important way to analyze the game as well. You can't rely entirely on numbers.
WAR is definitely my favourite stat though.

I saw this on PSD. Should WAR be the stats that determines awards. Many will argue that since Mike Trout has an outstanding WAR, he should win the MVP (I do have Trout as my winner, but Cabrera will probably get it)..
