There's literally a litany of players that used certain PEDs before they were banned from the game and players were tested for them. How do you know who used or who didn't? It's certainly not fair to assume, nor is it a good idea to allow the general public to serve as judge and jury.
There's...
You don’t give some a scarlet letter and not others. And by what means do we determine who gets the alternative plaque? Would never happen. But you are correct in that the HOF is about preserving the game. It’s too bad it remains a popularity contest tho.
If we’re going to keep out PED users, then then the Hall needs to boot all the players known for taking greenies and snorting cocaine during games. And while we’re on the subject of rule-breakers, it would only makes sense to remove players known for scuffing baseballs and hiding pine tar too.
The Mitchell Report cited a test MLB gave around 2003, I think...a test to find out whether or not PED use was a problem. Players were told the test and its results were 100% confidential.
If I remember correct, a lot of major players tested positive for PEDs during what was supposed to be a confidential, fact-finding drug test. Big Papi was one of them.
Prediction: The NFL does force the Packers to release Rodgers who, much to the astonishment of Green Bay, signs with the Patriots. He and Tom Brady form a gruesome duesome. They literally extend their careers by another decade by alternating starts and living off gluten free Gatorade. The...
You dont like college ball, I get it. There’s nothing I can say that will change your mind. It is strangely ironic you’re rallying around this notion the NFL is full of amazing defensive play. In a league where DBs can’t breath on a receiver w/o drawing a flag and QBs might as well be placed in...
Dude it’s almost 2018, few care to see defenses pitch shutouts. It’s also more entertaining to see the formations, plays, and players on Saturdays. You know, those who “won’t work in the NFL”.
Anothering plus to college ball is the litany of games on at once. Unless you’re being ripped off...
The big markets could care less about losing 2nd & 3rd highest draft picks, but the market isn't great this offseason and Scott Boras clients make up most of it. Also keep in mind teams are trying to stay poised to make major plays next offseason.
If I were a player like Lo Cain, I'd take a...
NFL having to immediately clarity why no catch each week is a huge problem. The Patriots have gotten nothing but favorable calls since the damn tuck rule. Hell, the only group getting more freebies from the zebras today other than the Pats was that Saints secondary.
And some of you want to...
I thought it was sketchy he was put back onto the IR with a clean bill of health. Vikings didn’t put Peterson on IR last year, after he decided he was done playing after Colts game.
Unceremonious ending to an amazing career. I’m sure it will be a few years before he’s able to swallow his pride and put this season behind him. I can appreciate how hard he works to keep his body in pristine condition but he clearly took the biz side of the league personally.
