Kirk to Gordon would be sick. Plus if they traded for Kirk they could take Sammy Watkins, and a RB either later in 1 or in 2, and take another impact player at one of those spots. Could be a dirty move for Cleveland's offense. Their D is already pretty set.
As far as the Titans go, I really hope Whiz makes a choice on Locker before the draft. They don't have a 3rd this year because of the trade up for Justin Hunter, so they cant afford to take a QB unless he's going to be their future. So many issues on this team that needs to be fixed: Verner may...
Yeah. I'd like to see him get a shot to compete somewhere, but at this point I doubt anyone's giving up a 2nd. I really want to see Mallett get traded too. He has all the talent in the world, and learning under Tom can only have been good for him. Unfortunately he doesn't get a chance to ever...
Welp, it's officially the offseason! :(
Time to find NFL stuff to talk about.
Anyways, it's pretty cool that the 49ers new stadium will be getting Superbowl L in 2016. I know anything can happen in two seasons, but as of now it looks like they will have a legitimate shot at playing in the...
I'm not too high on Kadeem Carey. He isn't big, isn't especially fast, nor elusive, or powerful. He's a fine runningback; nothing more. Reminds me of Donald Brown. Brown actually had a nice year, but overall, you don't want either of these guys to be your lead back.
It doesn't take stats to see Richardson sucks. That's the GM covering his ass IMO. And I'm not sure any outside opinions would have kept a real football mind of a GM/coach from canning Tebow. But yes, his hype probably would have been even more lol. But I think he's an exception for this.
I...
Media focuses on the guys who put up the big stats though. Yes defense is hard to gauge. But the reason the media knows who is "good" or not is because of sacks, or INT's or tackles. With those stats gone, it's going to take a knowledgable mind to point out who's good. Right now if the media...
I think less so. Guys on good teams generally have better stats because they have better players around them helping them achieve huge numbers. If the stats were then gone guys who just flat out play better would get recognition.
What if there were no stats? No yards, TD's, INT's, tackles etc, and the only thing that was kept was team wins? How do you think fans opinions of players would change?
I understand this is entirely implausible, but let's just pretend no one thought of counting the stats for some reason, or no...
In case you guys don't know about DVOA, it's probably the best stat to examine NFL defenses.
Check it out: http://www.footballoutsiders.com/info/methods
Despite Denver dominating TOP, against San Deigo (32nd in DVOA) they only scored 24 points, and against New England (21st in DVOA), they only...
