My main problem isnt cap flexibility, it's lack of post defense. I couldnt care less about my cap situation because I'm under the HC now and I'll worry about keeping my core together when it comes up down the road. Right now, I'm trying to bring in as much talent as possible. Trier's a guy who can start on a good team and be a 20 ppg player with good defense, nothing more, nothing less
Like I said, I'm willing to do a deal based around Zena instead. Like Zena + Rebec + Pacers 2026. And Zena has actually been a 20/10 player on contending teams and is a top 5 C
Looney at least plays good defense. The same definitely cannot be said for Bridges or Bagley. And he's on a team stuck behind 3 other players who all score 20 ppg. Bridges and Bagley are your main scoring options... He was a 20/10 player the previous 3 seasons, and not all of those were on bad teams either. And Beka sucks too (right now) why would I want him again when I'm trying to compete? Not to mention Looney's outside is literally on the fringe of B-
If you wont do a deal for Trier based around Looney at least do one based around Zena because I'm trying to move one of them and I know you want to get rid of Trier
Bridges sucks outside of scoring. Same with Bagley. Pels 1st will be late, Hawks 1st may not but Bibb is a bonafide scrub. So I dont have interest in that trade at all
Honestly I would add PJ and the Hawks 2027 as well to the trade I offered. I know youve been trying to move Trier for a while and I think it's hard to see someone giving a better offer than that for him
