The Atlanta Falcons agreed to a 3-year deal with Free Agent RB and former St. Louis Ram, Steven Jackson.

We have no excuse to lose in the playoffs now
All we need is an existent pass rush

Because they replaced Michael Turner with Steven Jackson? Aside from his receiving ability, this really isn't even an upgrade.

San Fran and Seattle are both better than ATL

I'd say San Francisco is the best team in the NFC & the NFL by a good margin.

The fact that SJax was able to rush for over 1000 yards with the Rams less than average Oline and being the only legitimate threat on the Rams (meaning teams constantly put 8 men in the box) speaks volumes compared to Turner. Sjax is faster, more explosive at the line of scrimmage, and will benefit receiving

And lol, San Francisco is not the best team in the NFL. Maybe on paper, but teams will have an answer for the read-option next year, and Kaepernick will be less of a factor. Personally, I'd take Wilson over Kaepernick, especially with Harvin. I can see how either team will be the favorite to win it all heading into the season, but we'll see
(Its funny because the favorite to win it all into free agency almost never does, see 2011 Eagles)

But the Niners lost in the Super Bowl, and got miles better (and still might get Nnamdi too)

Eagles were a 1st round exit, and signed some talented guys. Niners have shown they have the talent already

While I do agree that every defense will be 100% focused on stopping the read-option next season, I still think SF is the best in the league. Kapernick isn't necessarily 1 dimensional -- he has a long way to develop but he can be a solid QB whether he's running or throwing.

Comparing them to 2011 Eagles is ridiculous. That team accomplished nothing prior to 2011, and they accomplished nothing with all the talent they added (which still didn't make up for their other areas of need). The 49ers at least have been gradually improving each year, still have easily a top 3 D in the NFC, and if they get Nnamdi that just builds up their depth in the secondary even more.

Basically what Bosox said, haha.

I wasn't necessarily comparing them to the Eagles, just saying how the favorite to win the Super Bowl coming out of free agent almost never does
The media hate for the Falcons continues to baffle me however. I can't wait to prove all these "experts" wrong. I mean for christ sakes, we were 10 yards from the Super Bowl. And did nobody see how effective Nnamdi was in Philly??? smh
Im not saying the Falcons are the best team in the NFL by any means, but dont doubt em.

The winners in FA are very rarely the champs of their own conference though.

I think this is a good move for the Falcons, Turner imo was getting too old and isnt what he used to be. I still think Sjax has 2 good years in him.
