Vinnie Mac really did need hip replacement but he held off the surgery and took an F5 first, in order to help the storyline. Now if that isn't dedication to one's organization then I don't know what is. I don't see creative eye-to-eye with Vince much anymore but I have always respected his willingness to put his money where his mouth is and get his hands dirty.
exactly. he played that f5 off so well, too.

hhh is in love with a lot of the new, younger guys. im hoping over the next 6-8 months we can get a bunch of new blood in the roster.

also, at a house show ryback and miz faced punk and antonio and mizz botched a standing suplex and dropped punk on his head. i guess he rolled out of the ring for a few minutes and was clearly out of it but finished the match off and was checked out backstage. i havent read if it was super serious but still sounds shitty, nonetheless.

this swagger promo was touchy. wwe does seem to be getting a little more mature week-by-week

Kinda seemed like they were setting up Swagger/Cesaro to me. Which would be a nice feud imo.

thats what i was thinking wouldve happened.

theyre doing the swagger heel again, which i like, but it doesnt seem to last long unless they book him right. they shouldve had him come back to tv and work as a face. have him feud with cesaro for the US title and have him being the american hero to cesaro's anti-american.

throwing him back in the heavyweight title picture is a let down. let him work up to that.

at ec, if the rock gets dq'd or counted out the title can change hands.
So basically Punk is going to lose

And where are Prime Time Playaz gonna get a title run? Knowing WWE one of them got fired by now *hasn't watch in months*

im expecting the rock to get a stipulation for himself, too.

i also kind of expect someone(maybe maddox or lesnar????) to attack punk, just to force a title change. that sets up the triple threat for mania.

Just finished up watching the Raw Top 100 Moments on Blu Ray last night....

Holy shit, even though I experienced 99% of it when it happened, its astonishing to look back at how edgy WWE used to be and think about how it would never go over on today's television.

"Brian Pillman's got a gun"

"Choppee, choppee your pee-pee"

"Live Sex Celebration"

....and of course all the original DX stunts.

Watch this shit and you guys will think twice about whether or not WWE ever sniffs anything quite like the Attitude Era again. FML, we stuck now with John Cena saving Santa on Christmas Eve. And for the record, I think WWE totally mis-ranked a majority of those moments. The Stone Cold beer truck scene was good but it's not even close to the No. 1 moment in Raw history.

Wasn't there a nip slip in the sex celebration?
Not that I remember but anyways...it was pretty awesome when it went down.

So Chamber is tonight and aside from it being a terrible card, I have no clue how the WWE will awkwardly end the CM Punk vs Rock main event. We do know Wrestlemania is set to feature Cena vs Rock II but nobody is sure where CM Punk fits in. A lot of talk Taker wants Punk to be the guy to end "The Streak" but its all contingent on his health. Nobody is sure Taker is good-to-go and if he was, you'd think we'd have seen WWE promo'ing the shit out of it by now. Not that 5 weeks isn't enough to build the match but where and how do WWE creative abruptly pull Punk away from The Rock and focus him on Undertaker? A Taker interference tonight? Maybe...but I cannot see it happening unless perhaps The Shield gets involved and then Taker aids the Rock in countering. But a caveat to that theory is The Shield being involved in their own Chamber match, thus lessening probability.

Now what about Lesnar and where he fits into all this. Lesnar's return seemed like WWE was onto something and then he F5's Miz and goes AWOL from Raw the week after. One thing we do know is Lesnar vs Taker at Mania is off the table b/c of how physical Lesnar is versus how brittle Taker has become. But we do remember the staredown after Lesnar's UFC HWC loss & it wouldn't take much to get those two feuding.

Brad Maddox?

Shit....my brain is spinning on this. All I know is this PPV had better not suck. I was really, really disappointed with Royal Rumble and I'm tired of my guy Dolph Ziggler being shat on by WWE creative and this desire to have John Cena go down at the greatest wrestler of all time. Appreciate what Cena has done for the biz, he's a great role model, but as an Attitude Era generation fan....I facking hate his guts.

ziggy is the biggest star jobber, ever. dude hasnt won a match in over a month.

i agree with you on cena. they need to do something crazy a heel turn him.

as for lesnar, hes only contracted for so many ppvs and so many televised events so they keep him in and out so they dont use them up too soon.

im really waiting for them to turn more pg-13esque. you can tell theyre turning it slowly but surely. it just cant cone soon enough.

My dream scenario for tonight would have to be Ziggy cashing in the Money in the Bank after the ADR/Show match, followed up by Jericho winning the EC match. So you have Ziggy/Y2J feud continue and peak with a match at WM.

Too bad that won't ever happen though.

Zigler is far from a jobber Pugz, he's the main event bad guy WWE creative likes to use for putting over Cena, more and more, in main events, over and over. He's the HBK-type heel except this new age of WWE writers obviously don't have a damn clue that heels need to win once in a while. I have no doubts he will cash in MITB and end up WHW Champ at some point. Hopefully it's sooner than later.

As for a Cena heel turn....it'll never happen. WWE flirted with this when the Rock came back over a year ago and fans didn't take. Too many 6-12 year old kids view Cena as a hero and it doesn't matter what he does, they love him regardless. Kinda hard to push anti-bullying when the face of the campaign is a huge bad guy within your brand.

The problem isn't that Cena needs to go heel. He just needs something different. His character is boring and one-dimensional and it's evident to everyone that he's lost whatever it was he used to have.

John Cena is a C+ wrestler who, long ago, was placed on a pedestal above much, much more talented guys. Ziggler is a perfect example of this. Dolph is perhaps the most in-ring talented wrestler in all of WWE but the creative continues to have him lose to Cena in these shit matches. This bothers all of us smarks out there who are sick and tired of Cena being the face of the company and want the WWE to have enough balls to move on from him.

Additionally, Cena never put anybody over in his career. Bret Hart put over Stone Cold....Stone Cold put over The Rock....The Rock put over Triple H.....etc. Who the fuck as Cena ever put over in the WWE? The answer is simple: nobody. Time to pass the torch John; time to GTFO.

i dont think you understood. fans dont look at zig as a jobber, thats the way he's being used right now. he has the most star material but hes not being used as that right now.

i totally agree with you on cena. the dude is what hulk hogan was in wwf and they have no intentions on letting that change. his run as wwe champ better be a quick one.
