The New York Jets are unlikely to pursue an expensive quarterback such as Michael Vick, Matt Flynn or Alex Smith.

More realistic targets include Tavaris Jackson, Matt Moore, Jason Campbell or David Garrard.

New general manager John Idzik is said to be high on Jackson.

I don't see a problem with this. Obviously if it happens, you can't expect to win much but it beats overpaying in free agency for Vick, and also having to pay Sanchez a huge amount of dollars. Just draft a QB you're comfortable in developing in round 2 or wait until next year.

It's clear though that in bringing Rex Ryan back the Jets aren't trying to rebuild and plan for the future. It's painfully hilarious that they think this is a good option to win now
