Jose Calderon will remain the starting point guard when Kyle Lowry (triceps) returns.

Calderon has "earned the position," according to Dwane Casey. The coach didn't close the door on Lowry eventually reclaiming his role in the starting lineup, but for now, Calderon will continue to man that position.

Only makes sense. We've been winning games ever since Bargs and Lowry went down.

And then Calderon disappears for the night lol. I agree with the move for now. He'd been playing well.

The difference between Bargs and Lowry is that Lowry wasn't hurting you guys in any way, shape, or form. Bargs was lazy as all hell on defense and was the definition of inconsistency on offense.

1. Paul
2. Rondo
3. Westbrook
4. Williams
5. Rose
6. Kyrie
7. Parker
8. Nash
9. Lillard
10. It's at this point that it's a toss up, and his name is definitely one to consider. He was on a tear early in the season. I have a feeling most of you just ignore him if you can't see how good he is.

Just to add a few names that are also better than Lowry:

Jrue Holiday
Ty Lawson (even in a down year)
Jose Calderon
Goran Dragic
Jeremy Lin
Mike Conley
Ray Felton
Steph Curry

Maybe even Jeff Teague, and Brandon Jennings, too.

LOL. Not one of them is better than Kyle Lowry.

Calderon is not a better PG. Come the fuck on. I might give you Conley. That's about it. Holliday is having a good beginning to ONE season. That's no indication. I'll take Lowry over Lawson every time. Felton, too. What's with all the Ray Felton love? I get that he's better than most think but he's not better than Kyle Lowry.

Why is Jrue having a good season any different than to what Lowry has done? You acts as if Lowry has put together some awesome résumé. He's been a starter for like one season in which he was above average. And now lost the starting job to Calderon this year, probably because Calderon is the most efficient PG in the NBA.
Lowry is a slightly above average PG in the league, in the same range as the Lawson's and Felton's of the world. Nothing less and nothing more.

Which is why, in Lowry's return, he had 17 and 8 to Calderon's 2 and 6, right? Yeah. Lowry's better than Calderon, and I'm not sure it's that close.

One game same size lol. Calderon has the 2nd best assist to turnover ratio as he does nearly every season. As I said, he is a more efficient PG.

Why is this thread a topic then lol. Clearly somebody thinks Calderon is better. I can't believe you put Damian Lillard as the #9 PG lol

Raptors coach Dwane Casey is sticking with veteran point guard Jose Calderon, who averaged 13 points and 10.6 assists per game while leading the 9-20 Raptors to a 5-2 record in Lowry's stead. During those seven games, the Raptors posted an offensive rating (107.9) and defensive rating (101.5) that would both be in the top 10 for the season.

Great True or False question! The answer is False. He's not better than Lowry, actually. You've got a few games early in this season. Lowry's been an established starter for 3-4 years now. A borderline All-Star candidate when healthy, not to mention. So he's struggled with injuries for awhile here. He's still be balling when he's on the court.

He'll be starting again in Toronto, and soon.

It's also good to see Alan Anderson back for the Raptors. He was playing well before his injury.
