The Boston Celtics and Detroit Pistons are two teams that have made it clear they are highly interested in DeMarcus Cousins if and when he becomes available, according to front office sources.

Still, Cousins assuredly has plenty more teams interested in acquiring him from the Sacramento Kings.
im assuming we'd be giving up gmoe+ which would suck. maybe we actually view drummond as a 4. idk. hard to tell what the idiot dumars thinks and what that damn kings team wants lol

Despite DeMarcus Cousins' recent suspension handed out by the Sacramento Kings, co-owners Gavin and Joe Maloof are still reluctant to trade the young big man, according to sources.

Among potential suitors, there is a growing belief that GM Geoff Petrie would be willing to part ways with Cousins in exchange for a quality veteran player or two who could bring instant improvement.

Makes no sense for Detroit to be interested. What the fuck?

no shit but dumars was in live with him and gmoe was second. i honestly could see him throwing gmoe and jerebko at them or maybe flow and maggette but id rather hold that expiring and not get more trash back.

I guess. Detroit has more good bigs than most, but it baffles me that Dumars isn't looking into trades for shooters.

It doesn't make much sense to me for the Pistons to be dangling Monroe. As someone who loves Cousins and dislikes Monroe, I don't think that any team would trade Monroe for Cousins simply because of the question marks around him.

I love Drummond and think Drummond/Monroe 5/4 would be a great duo, but I think it's much more plausible for the Pistons to be offering Drummond in a deal and trying to get a more dynamic scoring/rebounding duo down low that can't really be matched in today's NBA.

As far as the Kings go, there is literally no winning in a Cousins deal. You absolutely KNOW that you won't ever be able to get a fair return for the potential of Cousins and almost any deal you make will bite you in the ass no doubt... But I can see why they might be looking to cut bait. Seems almost like a Singletary/Vernon Davis situation "can't coach him, can't win with him"... maybe YOU can't coach him, but surely somebody can especially if you build the right team around him and instill that mentality.

Keith Smart is a terrible coach. Paul Westpahl is a terrible coach. Lawrence Frank is even worse than those two. Cousins needs to go somewhere with a decent head coach. If Boston or Minnesota are actually interested, there are his two best landing spots because both coaches would deal with him properly.

Dude has unreal potential, but it's starting to look like we won't be seeing that as long as he's in Sacramento. If he finds himself somewhere like a Boston where a coach like Rivers and players like Garnett, Pierce, and Rondo aren't going to take his shit, he could flourish.

I would easily trade Monroe or Drummond for Cousins if I was the Pistons, and this is coming from one of Drummond's biggest supporters on the site.

It would be a no brainer for me if it were for Monroe, but only if I knew his attitude was going to change. Otherwise it is a terrible deal. And I strongly feel like Drummond will be a better player than Cousins in the long run. Really wouldn't even consider trading Dre right now.
