The Detroit Pistons are slowly starting to play young players such as Andre Drummond a little more, but they aren't fully committed to doing a complete rebuild of the team at this moment.

"That would be an organizational move," Lawrence Frank said. "We haven't even discussed that. But that's an organization decision."

In Frank's mind, the key to a youth movement is being forthright from a public relations standpoint.

"If you were to get in a mode where all you're going to do is play your youth, you need to be very transparent about it," Frank said. "For us, we're playing the guys that we think give us the best chance, whether young, veteran, regardless. Like I said, we haven't even had a discussion about that (but) you'd be very transparent about it."
.
+ Front office are doing a fine job.

so do i. they all sucked but still. joe has truly believed we could/can compete. gores needs to step up and lower ticket prices(theyre still close to what they were when we were winning), and he needs to get joe to i guess "start" the rebuild since he apparently hasnt yet. lol

I don't think they need to rebuild. They need a couple of shooters. They need to relegate Jason Maxiell to the bench, where he belongs. He's an energy player off the bench. Start Monroe at PF and Drummond. It's not that complicated. This team could be more competitive if the right players were on the court.

1-Knight/Bynum
2- Stuckey(trade at the deadline for somebody, if at all possible)/English
3- Singler/Prince
4- Monroe/Villeneuva/Maxiell
5-Drummond/Jerekbo

They could be so much better than they are. Their rotations make no sense. Tayshaun Prince and Jason Maxiell are taking up space in the starting unit. Let them be decent bench vets. Prince-Maxiell-Charlie-Jerebko

And if you really want Stuckey to remain on the pine, you can always try out Magette at the 2, but he's a little too big, I think.

There's no reason for Drummond to keep coming off the bench. There's no reason to keep starting Tayshaun Prince and Jason Maxiell. The Pistons should not be this damn bad. I don't think they need to rebuild, but they certainly need an actual shooting guard. OR they can let Kim English take his lumps and improve that way.

i really thought that with the right rotations we could've slid in for a 8th seed. now we've played so far behind we need to keep sucking because we wont make enough ground to catch up. might as well rebuild now.

Between Detroit and the current 8th seed it's only and an 8 game differential in losses. That's big enough, but it's not like they're fifteen to twenty back.

yea and that also makes us what, 7th in the lottery? this team needs a damn impact player in the draft. we cant get the luck of players slipping forever. lord knows dumars wont do shit with our cap space this summer, and quite frankly, idk if even the good lord himself trusts dumars anyways.

If Andre Drummond develops like he could then the Pistons are a player away from being a playoff team....

They're an PG, SG, and SF and a bench away from being a playoff team if Drummond develops

Yeah, because Wade and Bosh without LeBron would have been a lottery team with max cap space to still add to it

LeBron didn't announce his decision until after Wade and Bosh
Bosh/Wade/James had all collaborated together. If LeBron hadn't agreed to go to Miami, it's likely that Bosh would've ended up in Cleveland or Chicago, and Wade would've gone to Chicago.

Bosh and Wade just announced their intentions a day earlier, but it was always a plan for them to play together
