He can go to another team and be much better utilized than he was for the Jets
thaaat has about 0% to do with what I said... which is what you quoted. He can't do anything if he doesn't get his wish and be traded or released. he's not utilized well in NY anyway. what's he going to do if he doesn't get his wish, refuse to hold the Clipboard?

And no, Tebow just isn't good. I don't even know how to better utilize him, because I don't see any logical long-term option. The dude just isn't good. h e can run like hell but after some time teams will make the adjustments and force him to throw.

just a random stat because I came across it and thought it was quite interesting. last year in 2 starts vs the Chief,s he was 8 for 30 combined. 8 for 30....

Quite frankly, the Jets wasted an opportunity to either benefit from him starting and adjusting their offense, or exposing him for what he really is. One way or the other, the problem is solved. Rex just wouldn't do it, and it's beyond me because the Jets were fucked as soon as #24 tore his ACL.

If Tebow was in Buffalo or Miami, fine, leave the starter in there. Fitzpatrick isn't great but he's underrated and Tannehil is on pace to be a very good NFL starter. You don't take either of those two out, but when your QB is Mark Sanchez, the worst starting QB in the NFL (Skelton and Lindley don't count, and Kolb was better than Sanchez before he dislocated his ribs [ouch]), what do you have to lose, Rex? It was clear that Sanchez wasn't any good after about week 5 or 6.. Play Tebow. Either he proves everybody wrong or you expose him. He was a better fit for this offense. A bruising back in Green, a speedster in McKnight, Put them both on the field with Tebow and that option offense? The Jets would have been able to run the ball, at the very least. Not to mention how Tebow motivates his receivers and gets them to perform no matter how little attention they get. I bet Stephen Hill doesn't drop so many passes.

I'm not saying Tebow would have been better, but I doubt he'd have been worse.

I'm not sure Kolb was better than Sanchez.
;

When the Cardinals ran the hurry-up at the end of halves, he led them down the field with ease. How Whisenhunt never put two and two together and had him run the hurry-up at all times is beyond me. it would have compensated for the OL. It would have made each receiver even more productive. It would have kept them in the playoff hunt. I think Ken's a great coach, but the job he's done with this team, this year, with this incredible defense--it's beyond pathetic. He had a scheme that would work right before his eyes with Kevin Kolb. He bypassed it. Moron.
