I hope Greg makes the team this year. Felt he was snubbed last year, and is having an even better year this year after starting slow.

I'd say he's the #4 big man in the East statistically, behind Bosh, Brook Lopez, and Andy V. And Garnett, while having a worse season, would probably be added on the team over Monroe anyways.



I really don't care if my guys make the team. Pierce and Rondo are locks to make it, and KG has an outside shot of making it. I'd rather have none of them make it, and to stay healthy for the second half of the season

I'll take the 3 extra rebounds per game over the 2 points more that Brook has over Greg.

Greg Monroe: 17.9ppg, 10.0rpg, 0.9bpg


Knowing how Lopez is better at scoring and shot blocking, and Lopez has two teammates who have RPG/36 significantly higher than Monroe's, I'd take Lopez.



I hate Brook Lopez, I think he's a soft, overrated piece of shit. But stats show he is better than Monroe is this year.

Sorry, but I don't really care that you saw him more at Duke than me. NBA and NCAA are totally different. He's a better NBA PG than SG.

What he was at Duke doesn't really concern me.

He's not an NBA point guard because his attitude will always be me-first. There was a great article on ESPN insider about it the other day on how he detracts from a team because of it. Duke is so much better this year without him it seems like. This is just like the Damian Lillard thing with me knowing much more about the player than you and you not trusting me lol.

I read that insider article and it was a load of horse shit. It's kind of been a running joke inside the Hornets community because of how off it was, along with another article/video a week earlier. He may have been a "me first" player at Duke, but he's been anything but that with the Hornets. He's been too conservative and it almost seems like he's trying to be a team first guy to a fault.

I don't know if you watched the game last night, and if you did I'm not sure what broadcast you got, but it's something Joel Meyers and David Wesley talked about in detail last night with Rivers. Heck, I even made a comment the other day on hornetsreport saying I was getting tired of him and that I wished he was that me first player people made him out to be.

But what you don't realize is that he's not comfortable in that role. He needs to be a scorer, but he's not ready NBA-wise, so Monty is trying to turn him into a PG which is going to ruin him. Monty is trying to limit the shots he takes and everytime I watch him play he just doesn't look comfortable on the court.

I agree about how comfortable he looks, there has been times where he has looked very uncomfortable out there and he looks like he's really lost his confidence. I've honestly believed from the start that Austin has been pushed into action sooner than the coaches wanted him to because of Gordon's injury. If Gordon was healthy I think Monty would be content with giving Gordon and Mason all the minutes.
