Underclassmen are indicated with a *. Please do not confuse this as any indication that these players are going to declare for the draft. This list is compiled by my current rating based on watching games, viewing tape, and talking with scouts and evaluators I trust and respect.
1. Chance Warmack, G, Alabama. Remember this is a list sorted strictly by current draft grades, not an indicator of draft status. Warmack is that elite for a guard.
2. Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah. The comparison to Haloti Ngata grows on me the more I watch this dominating interior presence.
3. *Luke Joeckel, T, Texas A&M. Has risen to the challenge of facing several pass rushers on this list. I rate him higher than Matt Kalil from last year, Joeckel is tougher and more powerful.
4. *Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M. Leads the Aggies--and the nation--in sacks, but is also strong in run defense; always around the ball and/or the quarterback.
5. *Jonathan Hankins, DT, Ohio State. Very disruptive attack dog with remarkable quickness for a man of his bulk.
6. *Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama. A savvy, rangy cover man with a flair for the big play from a program noted for producing NFL-ready DBs.
7. *Sam Montgomery, DE, LSU. Positionally sound pass rusher with excellent base strength, really shows up in pressure situations.
8. *Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri. A rising star, Richardson has defeated all comers with a strong blend of brute strength and amazing burst.
9. Johnthan Banks, CB, Mississippi State. Long, rangy lockdown-type corner is comfortable on an island and plays the run well.
10. *Jarvis Jones, LB, Georgia. Has some injury concerns but is an instinctive terror when on top of his game. Will be drafted higher than this.
11. Manti Te’o, LB, Notre Dame. Intimidating between-the-tackles thumper has improved his range and is NFL-ready as a leader.
12. *Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State. Reminds me a great deal of a young Kyle VandenBosch, intense edge rusher with strong football IQ that can finish.
13. Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia. Great touch, good agility, crafty in the pocket and consistently makes the right decision with the ball.
14. Eric Fisher, T, Central Michigan. Underexposed stud has great feet to go with very long arms and excellent ability to recover quickly. Echoes of Duane Brown.
15. Keenan Allen, WR, California. Knee injury stalls his stock, but Allen has great hands and runs exceptional routes.
16. Barrett Jones, G/C, Alabama. Exceptionally smart, versatile tactician is probably better at guard but can start right away at either spot.
17. Dallas Thomas, T, Tennessee. Standout brick wall of a pass blocker can play guard very well but translates as a NFL right tackle.
18. *Cordarrelle Patterson, Tennessee. Needs lots of polish but has exceptional physical skills and strong desire to be great.
19. John Jenkins, DT, Georgia. Immovable object nose tackle reminds me of Casey Hampton, best 0-technique in this draft.
20. Taylor Lewan, T, Michigan. Blind side protector has great length and plays with real menace, but tends to get caught too high too often.
21. *Barkevious Mingo, OLB, LSU
22. *Alec Ogletree, LB, Georgia
23. Jonathan Cooper, G, North Carolina
24. Tyler Eifert, TE, Notre Dame. Spotlight: Frequent readers note I’m unusually harsh on tight ends, but I really like Eifert’s all-around game.
25. Sheldon Richardson, DT, Missouri
26. Cornelius ‘Tank” Carradine, DE, Florida State
27. *Matt Elam, S, Florida
28. Ezekiel Ansah, DE, BYU
29. Jesse Williams, NT, Alabama

31. *Givoani Bernard, RB, North Carolina. Spotlight: The top RB is but a redshirt sophomore who draws natural comparisons to Ray Rice.

36. Tyler Wilson, QB, Arkansas. Spotlight: Wilson has largely stayed above the fray of a miserable situation, but remains an inconsistent talent.
