Yes, he's been overrated for about three years now.

To be considered a great or elite center that people make him out to be he needs to raise his fg%, he settles for outside shots way too often, he's one of the worst offensive rebounding centers in the game (I think only two rebounded worse last season), and his defensive rebound rate is well below the league average. So in short, not only does he need to rebound better but at 7'1 265 lbs he should be dominate. He's also one of the worst Grizzlies defensively, statistically. Zach Randolph gets a lot of flack for his defense but Marc's only better by a hair.
