Lions continue to beat themselves honestly. The Bears defense played pretty well, but they didn't necessarily cause the mental mistakes that lost us this game. We also shut them down for the most part, they should have only ended up with 10 points (thanks Logan). This has been the story for the entire season, us making stupid mistakes, and playing lackadaisical offense in the first 3 quarters. I honestly believe we could easily be 5-1 or 4-2 right now. But we just continue to beat ourselves.

Bell can't fumble at the goaline, that was pathetic. Johnson dropped that ball in the first drive of the game, that very well could have changed the entire complexion of the game. Leshoure fumbled on a drive that seemed to look positive. Logan is terrible and needs to be cut asap. This guy has been terrible this year and last year, and I was calling for his release last year as well too. The same goes for Linehan. I can not stand the playcalling the Lions put together. It is just absolutely pathetic. The drives the Lions put together at the end of the game, there is no reason they shouldn't be able to do something similar at least a couple times throughout the first 3 quarters of the game. The middle of the field is CONSTANTLY wide open with every single team playing their safeties deep as fuck to stop Calvin, the fact we don't use more slant routes to take advantage of this is mind-boggling. Same with our joke of a redzone offense. Last season we would go with the jumpball to Calvin, and let him go get it. There was a reason he led all WR's in TDs. We did it once this year, if I recall correctly, and he did catch it, though was called for an offensive pass-interference. The playcalling is just ridiculous, can't stand this shit. There better be some fucking changes made to this team, preferably firing Linehan and getting rid of sad-sack Logan.

Also, wouldn't mind us taking a look at Plaxico. Would be a pretty nice target to put opposite of Calvin. Though I don't think it really matters, because I think this loss tonight ended our season really lol. Would have to go 8-2 probably to make the playoffs from here.

i actually like that idea Rip. However, I think your problems are more on the O-Line than the WRs. That was, I think the 2nd game all year I've been able to watch the Lions and stafford never had any time. However, bring in a solid guy like Plaxico and maybe it'll keep defenses from blitzing so frequently since Stafford can just drop back and loft one up and hope Plaxico can outjump the defender for it. Idk. I think the problems are more than adding a WR, but it can't hurt.

And idk if you have to go 8-2 to make the playoffs. It would be huge, but 7-3 to finish the year might actually be enough for a Wild Card, considering there's no standout at the Wild Card yet. So many teams are like 4-3 or 3-3 right now so there's still a possibility. I expect Bears to win the north, Vikings and Packers will probably be frontrunners for Wild Card but you can still catch either of 'em.

Yeah our o-line is pretty shitty too. But the thing is, they weren't much better last year either and we still had plenty of success throwing the ball. It's just frustrating really.

i got to say that cutler is one helluva a trooper. dude takes some vicious hits and keeps on playing. If stafford took the hits that cutler takes he probably be dead by now lol
