If the A's found a way to win the division and the Rangers somehow lost the Wild Card game that'd be heaven. They're the only team I don't see us having a chance against in a 5 or 7 game series.

When you suck ass for 15 years, you're gonna acquire some good players.

Well seeing as how in the first 10 years of existence, they made it to a Series.

Hmm, but good point you fucking cunt.
I wasn't being sarcastic. In your post, you were putting the Orioles down because they sucked for 15 years and now finally have talent, where the Rays did the exact same thing.

No, actually, they didn't. But good try.

Hardly any players on this team were drafted by the Orioles:

- Matt Wieters
- Nick Markakis (injured)
- Jim Johnson
- Manny Machado
- Brian Matusz

That's about it. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not but either way the O's have done a GREAT job at going out and getting guys, especially guys that flew under the radar of most teams:

- Nate McClouth was batting .140 with the Pirates
- Miguel Gonzalez was in the Mexican League
- Chris Davis was an afterthought in the Koji Uehara trade.
- Wei-Yin Chen under the radar from Taiwan
- Jason Hammel for Jeremy Guthrie was supposed to be "the worst trade of the offseason".

Etc. Keep getting mad though.

you can keep naming names but we dont go out and millions and millions every off-season to not get any better. besides, i dont defend overspending like you. i dont support spending crazy amounts of money on player and positions we dont need..

Why is the Yankee fan talking about another team buying all their players?
Pugz pointed out that the Yankees buy all their players, when the Tigers haven't exactly had a wealth of home-grown talent throughout the years.

We can afford all these players because we make more money than any team, the Yankees have that high of a payroll because the owners still make money while putting the best possible product on the field.

We overspend sure, but who really cares if it's improving the team?

When is the last time a big contract player has hampered the Yankees ability to acquire more talent/get better?

im not knocking any team for making more money and spending more money. its funny when your team spends as much as you always do and it doesnt turn into WS'. so can you really say its improving the team in the long run?

Wait since when have the Yankees had the best on field product possible? They underachieve/choke 10 years for every 1 world series they win...

Considering we've gone to the playoffs for 16 of the last 17 years, yeah, it's making the team better.

And winning just one, like we did in 09, made it all worth it.
