Connor Shaw is a good reason why they shouldn't be top 10. He's a tough SOB, but a terrible quarterback. That QB situation in Sakerlina has been pathetic for years.

Are we talking about the same Connor Shaw? 64.3 completion % last year, 14 TD, 6 INT, 9-1 career record as a starter. Had the highest passer efficiency from 11/6-the end of the year last year (196.1). Great runner. I can keep going if you want.

Fine, we'll call him a game manager if that makes you feel better. He's not going to lead this team to a win with his arm if they need it.

I'm strictly referring to what I saw on Thursday against Vandy, who has a solid defense, but it's still a middle of the pack defense in the SEC.

Yeah keep in mind he played the second half of that game with a bum shoulder. I like Shaw. As a passer he may be no more than a good game manager but he can really run the ball and it's become a big part of the offense. Keep in mind most of what he did last year was without Lattimore next to him in the backfield so it's even more impressive.

Carolina does this every year. Because Spurrier is their coach they get a nice rank.

Yet each year they get waxed by the SEC big boys. Arkansas had them beat at halftime last year and at their house the year before it when both schools were closely ranked.

When your QB runs for more yards than he can pass your offense has issues.

I can't by what they sell when they choke every season.

I don't get the game tonight, but wow, Logan Thomas' stats look horrendous.

He was wildly inaccurate in the first half. Overthrowing fade routes and throwing behind his receivers on crossers. Didn't catch any of the second half though.

He ran for more yards than he threw in one game where he hurt his throwing shoulder and could barely lift it?

How do they choke every season? 11-2 season last year, an SEC East championship the year before that, Spurrier has this program moving in the right direction. I don't think you realize that SC really wasn't a whole lot before Spurrier got there, he's done a GREAT job with the program and it's upward motion is continuing, with this year being the highest preseason ranking in school history. Getting waxed by the big boys sounds like exactly what happened when Alabama came into Columbia, SC in 2010 with an 18 game win streak and walked out with that L

This sounds like bitterness coming from the fact that as long as LSU and Alabama exist, Arkansas won't ever be more than third-fiddle in the SEC West...

What happened in that SECCG?

Just let it play out and I'll quote this again in a couple months.

Oh and, Arkansas is 8 in the AP now passing USCe. Looks like I'm not alone in my opinion.

When did I say South Carolina was better than Arkansas?

And Lol at you using an AP poll after one week to say a team is better than another anyways. That's like me saying 'South Carolina was ranked higher preseason'!!!

I never claimed you said that. Kinda defensive about dem cocks eh? Just stated the voters saw what I saw too considering they dropped when they won their game.

Week two is underway. I'm looking forward to seeing a lot of games today.

Michigan vs. Air Force(Obviously)

Nebraska vs. UCLA, if Burkhead can't play, which it's looking like he wont, that changes the game plan for Nebraska in a big way, and UCLA put up the points last week. I realize it was against Rice, but still.

Wisconsin vs. Oregon State. Wisconsin had a terrible game against UNI. Let's see if they bounce back or falter against a better opponent.

Washington vs. LSU. I see LSU winning this game, but Keith Price can wreck some havoc on Defenses.

Georgia vs. Missouri. This could be the game of the day. Missouri is playing their debut for the SEC and Georgia can be iffy at times, especially early in the year. I expect a good game.

Iowa vs. Iowa State. Interstate rivalries can be tricky. Plus, Iowa State was a HUGE surprise team last year, including a win over Iowa(44-41 in 3OT). Could be another one of those. Maybe not 3OT, but a close game.

Florida vs. Texas A&M. Another team making their SEC debut, so they could play with some extra oomph.

The U vs. K-State. Games with these two teams, not against each other, just in general interest me. Seems that you never know what to expect from The U, but they seem to always be competitive. K-State could be in for a tough one, but I doubt it.

Penn State vs. Virginia. Each game Penn State this year will interest me. They lost a game they played well in, until the end, against Ohio, and I don't see Virginia losing to them either.

Michigan State vs. Central Michigan. I'm a fan of Central Michigan, have been for years, and even if the nation doesn't think highly of them, I know they aren't the best team, but they can win games. I wouldn't mind them winning this weekend.
