According to Dwyane Wade, the decision to re-sign with Miami wasn’t an easy one.

The basketball star joined Chicago Tribune Live today and wasn’t shy about his respect for his hometown team. Although he ultimately made the decision to play for the Heat, Wade had a difficult time saying no to the Bulls.

“It was very tough, it was one of the hardest decision I had to make in my life,” Wade explained in reference to his visit to Chicago two years ago.

“I’m a Chicago guy and I grew up idolizing the Bulls, idolizing Michael Jordan and wanted to wear that jersey. So the day I went for the Chicago visit and they gave me the No. 3 jersey, I mean, that day messed me up. I went back home and I had the jersey on and, I mean, I turned into a kid again.”

Sounds like a less effective LeBron and Wade duo

But Noah-Gibson-Deng-Wade-Rose would be better than the current Miami Heat
Exactly ... If Chicago had Wade with them right now , they would have a better starting 5 then the current Heat roster in my opinion ...

If they signed Wade, they wouldnt have Boozer.

And Gibson>Anthony. And I'd much rather have Joakim and Deng over Bosh and Rio
Actually we traded Hinrich to have room for two players, so we could have gotten Boozer and Wade.

Bosh probably would have signed with Chicago, had Wade signed there too.

Yes, Wade had two meetings with the Bulls, but I think we all know the Big 3 was planning on teaming up the entire time. Anything else they did was just giving other teams false hope.

If they signed Wade they would have had Boozer, the had money for another max contract and the only reason they didn't sign another player other than Boozer to a max deal is because no one else wanted to go there. They spent the money on a couple role players instead of a max player.

And I'd much rather have LeBron James over Derrick Rose and I'd much rather have Bosh over Carlos Boozer, as evidenced by LeBron dominating Rose and Bosh dominating Bosh in the ECF.

wade was never close to signing there. this is another thing you have to say, especially over a hometown team.

He actually has disrespected the Bulls in the past, so I wouldn't be surprised by anything he says.

He's said shit like the Bulls don't do their former players right after retirement...

Scottie Pippen is a freakin' team ambassador? LOL

I don't know what that is, but dude sits court side at every home game.
