Dez Bryant Arrested

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant has been arrested in Texas.

According to MyFoxdfw.com, the NFL superstar was arrested in DeSoto, TX and is facing a Class A family violence charge ... however the details surrounding the arrest are unclear.

Law enforcement tells us 23-year-old Bryant is not currently in custody.

When contacted by a local media outlet, Bryant confirmed there was an incident ... but wouldn't get into specifics. He did say, "I'm good."

This isn't Bryant's first brush with the law ... earlier this year, he was detained by Miami police after he was allegedly involved in an altercation outside LIV nightclub ... but he was not arrested and no police report was filed.

So much talent, so much wasted away. Man I cant believe this guy makes so many bad decisions. Imagine how many millions this has cost him along the way and how many more it will cost him.

That hair and ballcap report is not accurate. He grabbed her wrist and shoved her, by the sound of it.

I'm not going to condemn him over this one time incident. Some parents are physical with discipline, even as their children grow to be adults, and sometimes sons or daughters defend themselves. There is no indication or evidence suggesting that Dez just up and threw her around because he could.

For all we know, this could have been an old-school disciplinarian tactic like a slap to the back of the head from her or something that he overreacted to. I don't expect this to become an ongoing issue. I'm sure he's remorseful and will make it right somehow, but I would sure like if it people quit acting like he threw a closed-fist punch at her or used a blunt object. Let the evidence surface and then we can decide what happened instead of acting like we know.

Now that the police report has surfaced and we know the facts (I hadn't heard about it until after that post), let the Dez hatred begin, and I'll start it off with my true want to cut him now. I don't care if we only have Miles, then. It's not about football. It's about character.

Apparently Dez's brother has come out saying that Dez didn't even touch his mother.

This is why I'm trying to call the dogs off a bit. Let this play out and then judge.

I think there are a lot more details about this story that we'll never know, to be honest. You don't lay your hands on a woman, but what did she do to provoke him? You might say that doesn't matter, but you just never know what kind of abuse she may have been laying down for years.

Don't excuse Dez, but stop acting like he shoved a completely harmless and undeserving human being. I wish he hadn't done it, and I guess I'll swallow the pill of him being cut if it happens, but in no way, shape, or form am I going to ignore the way he was raised and the shit he had to deal with because of it.
