The Knicks have acquired Raymond Felton and Kurt Thomas from the Blazers in exchange for Jared Jeffries and Dan Gadzuric.

Both Felton and Thomas previously played for New York.

Felton and Jeffries will be dealt via sign-and-trade as both players are free agents.

It is unclear how the acquisition of Felton will impact the Knicks' decision on whether to match Jeremy Lin's offer sheet with the Rockets.
just an update on lin if you havent heard; the rockets upped the money and the third year of his deal is worth $15M. i think this pretty much means lin is as good as gone in ny.

The Knicks have elected not to match Landry Fields' offer sheet with the Raptors.

Fields signed a three-year, $20 million deal with Toronto.

Yeah, bringing Felton and Kidd in and then matching Lin makes no sense.

Love the fact Felts is back, hope he and Amare can find that chemistry they had with the pick and roll

But idk, I think they still match the Rockets offer.

I read that there is still a chance that they do match it.

Now they just need to bring back Gallinari and Chandler.
And remove Melo.

sweet, and be a .500 team again.

I don't like this deal. Lost a good defensive player in Jeffries who every Knicks fan loved having on the team. I hear they'll still match Lin and i really hope that's true.

as for the luxury tax, i really don't think it matters to Dolan. He paid a ton in luxury tax when the team wasn't even relevant.

If bringing back Felton makes us lose Lin... Well, I'm afraid the Knicks have lost a fan.

and we lose Jeffries. I don't see how this deal benefits us.

I thought you would leave more due to Galinari than Lin.

Stephen A. Smith was just on ESPN reporting that the Knicks think Lin got a big head. He said they didn't think he appreciated what they did for him, that he wouldn't play at 85 percent in the playoffs and ultimately got a big head after the fame. And this is a main reason why they aren't sure if they will match his offer.

It's different, but I know before he had those good games he would sign autographs for anyone and he would sign multiples, but after he became a very hard get.

Overrated is right, but he's young and behind Kidd and Felts je could become a effective PG

And Jeffries was great for us, but what we lost with him we'll get from Camby and Kurt, plus both of them are more efficient scorers

Felton is an overrated, mediocre, fat PG who will be extremely disappointing under any coach except for D'antoni. Have fun with him.
