Who do you guys think are going to be the surprise players this year? In this thread, you are allowed to be a homer lol.

For me, totally banking on the Titans MLB Colin McCarthy being a Pro Bowler, along with Jason McCourty.

For the Lions I'm expecting either Titus Young or Mikel Leshoure to have a big season, more than likely titus. For the whole league I'm gonna pick Ocho Cinco lol

Mike Kafka will preform well whenever Vick gets injured.

Kafka? Don't know about that one. He just doesn't have the arm.

He's a decent backup and can win you a few games. Obviously not gonna blow anyone away but when Vick inevitability gets injured he'll be able to get the job done. Say Vick was out for 4 games and we went 3-1 I think that would get him some attention.

League wide I'll go with Gabbert and Jonathan Baldwin.

I'm with David on the Titus one. Think he has a great season.

well after Murray and Cruz i may as well throw some random names in a hat and pick one.

but in all seriousness I like Titus young as well, think he could have a big year. And even though Alex Smith had a good year last season, I think the weapons around him now are going to help him have an outstanding year. not sure if people think that would be a "surprise" though.

Also think Jake Locker will start at some point this year and have some success.

People picking rookies and second year players that were drafted pretty high are doing it wrong

Rookies yes, 2nd year players are fine IMO. Other than Gabbert. Because he was picked so high, it's almost expected he'll do better, I don't think it would surprise anyone.

Vincent Brown could break out this year. I'm not sure if that would be a surprise though.

IDK if you'd consider Alex Smith a surprise, but I expect him to change the public's view of him as a game manager. Now that he finally has weapons, I think they'll throw it more this year, and Smith is going to finally put up the big stats (that everyone thinks is so important, even though they aren't).
