It is time to vote for the top 5 players at every position. Alot has changed in the last season so this should make for great discussion. Please try and vote for the best player and don't be a homer! I'll leave the polls open for about a day or so and after that we'll carry on to the #2 PG and so on. I will add more players as we go since you can only add 20 at a time.

REMEMBER this is based on who is the best player, not the player who has the potential to be the best

2012 TOP 5 SG RANKINGS
1) Dwyane Wade
2) Kobe Bryant
3)
4)
5)

2012 TOP 5 PG RANKINGS
1) Chris Paul
2) Deron Williams
3) Rajon Rondo
4) Derrick Rose
5) Russell Westbrook

2011 TOP 5 SG RANKINGS
1) Dwyane Wade
2) Kobe Bryant
3) Joe Johnson
4) Monta Ellis
5) Eric Gordon

cant believe wade is the number one.......
People just don't like Kobe man, I don't get it.

Kobe is definitely better than Dwyane Wade.

but w/e

I go with Joe Johnson, but I wouldn't be surprised if James Harden won this. He's not a top 5 SG, but people like to believe he is.

With the lack of SG talent in the league I think this can go to just about anyone

Even Kobe and DWade aren't what they used to be, yet still no one has risen above them. Joe Johnson will probably win 3rd by default, even though it seems he's declining

I went with Manu

im a huge fan of wade but hes not number one at all. voting against kobe is absurd. hes still a top five player imo, wade isnt even that.

No one refuted my numbers for saying Wade is better than Kobe.
I really can't see any reason as to why Kobe is better than Wade.
The only reason it seems to be with you guys is that it is Kobe Bryant. Solely based on his name and reputation.

Wade is more efficient offensively, has a better assist rate, is a better defender, and has a higher ws/48.

He's played in over 90% of his games over the last 4 years. That's more than good enough.

Kobe is still a glorified chucker at this point in his career

Dwyane Wade shoots 26% on wide open threes.

Kobe Bryant shoots 30% on contested fadeaway threes.

I'm sorry but I can't pick a SG to be #1 who can't shoot...

- More efficient offensively because Kobe has to force things for his team to be successful.
- Better assist rate because Wade is playing alongside the best player in the league as well as a slew of shooters. Kobe cannot kick out to ANYBODY on the Lakers
- I'm not sure he's the better defender
- Nobody gives a fuck about win shares

According to WS/48, Kyrlyo Fesenko is the best player in the league.

Where's DJT?

I admittedly know very little about win shares because I just haven't researched it enough, but I'm a big proponent of advanced metrics and I assume it has some merit.

Fesenko played in only 3 games and had a per36 of 17/19, so obviously he's going to show up high on metrics, even though it doesn't mean anything.

That is the exact opposite of what's happening. Kobe is foolishly forcing things

Foolishly? Yeah because kicking the ball out to Darius Morris and Troy Murphy is a much better option.
No, but dumping the ball down low, something he didn't do nearly enough, is a much better option.
