The Spurs and Tim Duncan have agreed to a three-year contract, believed to be worth $34 million.

Duncan declared himself "a Spur for life" during the Western Conference finals and expressed little interest in exploring his options beyond San Antonio.
SHOCKER

3 years 34 million, 11.3 a season.

Realistically, RIGHT NOW, what do yall think he's actually worth?

right now, yes. next year and the following year, probably not. i just cant imagine them not giving him what he wants. i think im more surprised that he didnt give them a discount though.

Me as well.

It's an interesting question though, some of these vet signings. If their past wasn't taken into account, I wonder what they would sign for?

11 million annually is appropriate for the season he had last year, but he's going to drop off and won't be worth it in the final year, maybe the final 2 years.

i think the market would decide their value like it does everyone else too.

I couldn't imagine him anywhere else and wouldn't want to see it either. Glad he resigned, though he got a lot; I guess with all he's given the Spurs he may deserve it but it doesn't really help the Spurs when Duncan isn't exactly worth this type of money at the moment.

That's the same deal KG got from Boston, and they both had almost identical seasons last year statistically. Both are also the same age. Seems fair.

Where was he thinking about going back in the day? Anyone remember?

He's thanking his lucky stars that he stayed in San An and didn't have to deal with Grant's career being derailed with the injuries
