Brandon Roy has agreed to a two-year, $10 million deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves, according to sources. Link coming.
Interesting.

Brandon Roy has reached a verbal agreement with the Wolves, according to a member of his family.

Roy confirmed the news to Dave 'Softy' Mahler of KJR in Seattle.

Roy's agent, Greg Lawrence, confirms that the deal is worth approximately $10.4 million over two years.

"I'm excited to be back," said Roy. "I'm a T-Wolf!"

Roy came out of retirement this summer.

Damn, not a bad deal for the Timberwolves at all. I hope Brandon Roy turns out to have a successful season. The wolves have quite a few guards already though, but hopefully he'll get enough minutes to prove to be something valuable.

IF he can play something that resembles defense with those knees, he could start at the 2. I doubt it, to be honest, but he gives Minnesota another shooter. Bud and Roy are pretty damn consistent from 3, and Rubio had it going last year as well.

I look forward to my first official season as a Wolves fan. I really don't see myself committing to the Rockets much longer. Not when their GM is just being stupid about everything but his 3 draft picks. Christ. Unless they're trying to tank for somebody. I dunno. Obviously, I won't actually jump ship on them, but if they can't even compete in games this coming year I think I might watch my local team a bit more.

In other words, GO WOLVES!

I also didn't realize that Ridnour was under contract, as well.

Roy/Bud/Ridnour/Barea/Rubio/Love--Minny's got some shooters. DWill had his three going at the end of last year, too.

Wish him good luck. Hard not to want to see him succeed in the league.

To be fair, I said I wasn't actually going to jump ship, just that I'd be watching the Wolves this season, and it's not like I don't have to watch more Wolves games, anyway.

Also, fans need to get angry about what Morey's doing, because he's being an idiot. I think people in Houston should be fucking rioting over this shit. Can't keep either PG? Jesus Christ. Not to mention trading our only contracted center.

People expecting Brandon Roy to do anything are crazy. You don't just suddenly regenerate cartilage in your knees.

I am expecting, if healthy, for him to contribute a ton to the team. He is a major improvement at SG.

Even when he is healthy, he has no cartilage in this knee. That's the point. That's why he isn't as good anymore.

He is a MAJOR improvement either way, I think he still can play, but I could easily be wrong.

I doubt he even starts. I love Brandon Roy but I don't think he's going to contribute a WHOLE LOT.

Maybe it's just me rooting for the all-white starting lineup.

@DarrenWolfson

#Twolves source says the 2nd yr on Roy's contract is not guaranteed. He only gets the $ if he can play. More nuggets coming in a story soon.
