Brooklyn and Atlanta are engaged in talks on a possible Joe Johnson trade, sources tell Y! Nets plan would be to pair with Deron Williams.

Both Hawks and Nets are engaged in talks on several fronts. No deal close on Johnson, but sides have gone back and forth on possibility.

Not a bad idea I guess. His contract sucks but he can still play and I'm sure Deron's perception of him is positive.

Bad for Brooklyn IMO. JoJo isn't who he used to be and is still due $90 million.

But it'd be good for the Hawks IMO.

Someone willing to take on Joe's salary that's RARE.

Haha I would like to see that go through actually.

Joe Johnson's contract makes him overrated, but he's still underrated by the majority of fans. I consider him an absolute stud of a ballplayer.

Imagine a backcourt of him and Deron. That shit's lethal. Bring Lopez back and have an inside out game and hopefully Gerald Green keeps up his impressive play. We're looking at a pretty damn good team, here.

If the Nets trade for JJ, then they wont be able to get Dwight which would leave him with having to switch up his plans.

I don't understand why people act like the Nets would actually have to send something of value back for JJ, I highly doubt that's the case.

Ferry deserves executive of the year if he's able to trade the untradable contract.

According to several reports, the Nets would receive Johnson in return for four expiring contracts: Anthony Morrow, Jordan Farmar, Johan Petro and Jordan Williams plus a first round pick in 2013, when the Nets have two picks, their own and the Rockets' lottery protected pick.

they also have Outlaw on for $4M a year. It's still a lot of money to take on Wallace's new contract, Johnson, resign DWill, and then trade for Howard. Idk how that all works with the CBA. somebody would have to explain that shit to me, lol.

Outlaw was amnestied meaning his contract doesn't count towards the salary cap.
