In all the buzz about the Rockets trading Chase Budinger to get the No. 18 pick — a move clearly a precursor to other moves — there was a lot of talk about who might get moved with a pick so Houston can move up.

It may not be now, but look for Kevin Martin to get moved. Maybe not until next trade deadline, but look at this note from Sam Amick of Sports Illustrated.

Rockets shooting guard Kevin Martin is also a possibility to be dealt. He has just one year left on his contract (worth $12.9 million) and is not looking to re-sign in Houston, according to sources close to him.

He certainly can shoot the rock — he averaged 17.1 points per game and shot 34.7 percent from three last season, and that was off from previous seasons when he shot much better — and while a team may not want to keep him at that price he has real value.

Just a name to watch as we know the Rockets are looking to make moves and shake things up.

As much as Daryl Morey wants to build a contender, he's going to chase players away with his willingness to trade anybody and everybody on the blink of an eye. Who the hell wants to play in Houston when there's no stability?

I do not like Daryl Morey. Never have. Probably never will. Trading Carl Landry did him in, in my eyes.

Gotcha. Yeah, I had no idea if that was an absurd amount of transactions or not. I really have no idea of average numbers.

The dude should be fired immediately if all this trading amounts to nothing whatsoever, and I consider Pau Gasol as nothing whatsoever. You don't add an aging veteran to a young team, especially an aging veteran who's never shown the ability to be the lone star on his team and take them over the top, and call it a good day. I just don't see it. Now, obviously Pau isn't as much on the downswing as say, Antawn Jamison was when we went to Cleveland, but he's not in his prime, and I don't want anything other than a stud player who's in his prime if Morey's gonna shake it up this much.

Pau would make Houston a better team, but they're looking at a 4 or 5 seed at best with him. Likelihood is 6-8, and that's not going to be good enough to even take a first round series. Not good enough.
