Forgive me if I'm wrong, but for some reason I find 16 and 9 at GT a bit more impressive than 10 and 6 in the Yugoslav Basketball League. Which oddly enough is now defunct.

Yeah because Yugoslavia doesn't exist anymore....

I'm aware. They could of just continued the league though and changed the name, and had all the separate countries still involved.

I guarantee players would be getting shot down if they tried to do that haha. There's a reason why it doesn't exist anymore, as I'm sure you know. But anyways this all could have been avoided if the grizzlies had won that lottery and not had to give you their pick...

Back from a 2003 Sports Illustrated Post-Draft grading:

Pistons A-

It’s hard to argue with Joe Dumars for taking Milicic over Anthony.
Oh really? lol

It also has Miami drafting Wade the same grade as the Lakers drafting Brian Cook and Luke Walton

Hindsight is 20/20. Wade was considered a bit of a risk because he had no jumper in college.

Indiana should trade up for him. Just imagine him and PG together

Call me crazy, I don't think it will happen cuz there's just too much potential to pass up, but I think Drummond could fall to the Pistons or Hornets at ten.

Just a month ago you were saying he would be a bust.

Highly doubt he makes it that far down anyway. It's all about workouts now, and he'll have the best ones other than maybe Perry Jones.

I don't think I ever said he would bust, just said he's too big of a risk.

Here's the way I look at it:

#1- Davis
#2- I'm just not sure the Bobcats are in position to take such a risk. With Jordan's former Kwame Brown mistake, and I just think they have too many needs.
#3- John Wall has said he wants a 2 or 3, and they have Nene in the post, and they are desperate to "fix" their culture, so I don't see them taking on a guy like Drummond who there are concerns over if he "loves" the game or not.
#4- Cavs seem to want MKG or Beal, and I think we all know how happy Byron would be about taking a project like Drummond. Maybe if MKG and Beal are gone, but I expect one of them to be there at #4.
#5- Kings already have a headcase post player. That entire franchsie is a mess. I guess you never know with them, but if I were them I wouldn't do it- but I wouldn't have done a lot of the things they've done...
#6- Blazers, haunted by ghosts of Bowie and Oden, I don't know. They have LA, some other good pieces, do you take on the project?
#7- Warriors, want to win now, want to make a splash now I guess, don't see it, especially with Bogut.
#8- Raptors, they seem to be looking for backcourt players, and have their euros at the bigs, but frankly who watches these guys? No clue what they do if Drummond is there.
#9- Pistons, unless they fall in love with somebody else, I'd think you stick him down next to Monroe, pray he develops and you have a ridiculous front line for the next 12 years.

Though I must admit, I'd be so happy if Drummond told the Bobcats he was "country strong."

If MKG is gone at 4, Drummond will be the pick.

I'm not even sure how high they are on Beal, because I keep hearing how the Cavs prefer bigger guards, which certainly isn't Beal.

Chris Grant isn't going to not draft a player because Byron Scott has the reputation of being a tough coach. Tristan Thompson was a project and they had no problem taking him last year.

if he lands in detroit i would just hope he sticks with greg monroe and not CV. cv was a cancer to daye. ben isnt going to be on the team to help either. if hes at our pick i could see us passing just because but we would NEED to make that pick if hes there.

Not buying it.

The Cavs would be idiots to draft Drummond over Beal, fwiw.
