Meyers Leonard's stock is gonna go up if anything. He's got an NBA ready body and should be able to produce in workouts.

BC the Heat are taking Miles Plumlee at 27.

You say that now but I think he'd fit in nicely with Miami. Runs the floor real well, most athletic center in the draft (41 INCH VERT), LeBron would make him look real good.

He can hit a face up mid range jumper and block shots. I don't think his ceiling is very high but he should be a solid starter.

All I want is a 7 footer who plays defense, rebounds, and isn't a total ditz on offense like Joel Anthony.

Is that too much to ask?

Definitely needs to put on weight but he could be solid. Great shot blocker and was a great rebounder at the college level, but that goes back to the weight thing if he wants to be a great rebounder at the NBA level as well.. He runs the floor decently but he's not great at creating his own offense. He's got confidence in his mid-range jumper but it's very inconsistent and he's got an average hook-shot out of the post but offensively that's about it. UNC tried playing him at SF his freshman year and it didn't work out at all.

Height: 6'10

Positives
  • Physical forward
  • Good athlete
  • Runs the floor well
  • Strong rebounder
  • Excellent motor

Negatives
  • Raw offensively
  • Inconsistent
I don't see anything about defense or being 7'0 <_<

i noticed the small forward not working for him. but im just not sold on him being able to gain weight/muscle. kid is 21, should be bulking up already; if he is going to be bigger. how well could he mesh with monroe?

if pj3 and sully are on the board still when we draft id either want to trade down a spot or two to nab them or take them. i like pj3s potential and sully could be nice for us at the four starting now and maybe off the bench in the future.

If you're looking for STEALS, here's a few players that I think could be there when the Celtics pick:

Quincy Miller who would have been a lottery pick next year.
Royce White who is a lottery pick on talent alone but has an anxiety disorder that teams are concerned about.
Jeffrey Taylor who is one hell of an athlete and has consistently improved his jumper every year.
Andrew Nicholson who carried St. Bonnie to the tourney this year.

Among others.
I'm not a fan of Nicholson, but the other three I like a lot. Miller and Taylor the most.

Taylor could be a solid replacement for Pierce in two years

And yeah, Meyers is probably the #2 most physical bigman over 6'10" in this draft. He could sneak into the top 10 with good workouts possibly

What the fuck do I care about a center's vert

And I've yet to see anything about his defense yet

Not badly because his main impact in the NBA is going to be on the defensive end. He's not going to take shots away from Monroe and also like I said while his jumper needs a little refinement he CAN play at the high post and knock them down. For the record Henson put on AT LEAST 20 pounds between the day he stepped onto UNC campus and the time he left it, it's just really hard for guys like him/Durant/etc with those lanky body types to ever get to the 230s/240s but we'll see. I think he's the pick Detroit should make unless someone slips to them like Knight last year.

If he's there at 26, Fab would be solid for Miami

He's a pretty good defender and a solid as a shot blocker. Coach K held him back defensively because we couldn't afford to have him get into foul trouble. But he's strong AND very quick for a guy his size so he has the ability to defend the post.

the only person i can see slipping to us would be drummond and i doubt that. but i like what pj3 could be. he can come in and play the three and four for us and then hopefully take tays spot in a few years. but henson doesnt seem like that bad of a pick. i know what you mean with the weight/lanky issue but hes going to have to still bulk up a bit more.
