Rajon Rondo's has to rank as one of greatest road playoff performances ever - every minute of reg and OT! 44, 10 assts, 8 rebs. Guts.
via Skip Bayless.

But 40, 18, and 9 from LeBron isn't even considered the best performance in the game for the Heat. From Skip.

Quite frankly, the Celtics were screwed in the end. Those two crucial (missed) calls (Rondo hit in the head, Wade's offensive foul prior to his jackass staredown of Garnett) separated them from the game. Those two calls cost them a chance at winning the game, and let's not act like the officiating was great all game, either. Miami shot 47 free throws to Boston's 29. That difference is atrociously obvious and should not be so drastic. Let's not forget that every time Miami drove they got a whistle and Boston had to get fucking hammered at the rim for them to go to the line. And then two Boston players fouling out. Come on. Especially Pierce's sixth. He went straight up and Wade created all of the very little contact, not to mention he jumped and turned a 180 and wasn't even looking at the hoop. I don't know about you, but where I grew up you didn't get free throws for jumping into people and contorting your body to the point that you were going to take an impossible shot. That should have been a no-call. I really hate Dwyane Wade. He gets so many calls he shouldn't, and whines when he doesn't get one.

Other reasons Boston lost:

1. KG is too unselfish. They had the game tied if he'd have gone up for a bucket to lock it at 107 but he tried to dish it to Brandon Bass, who has enough trouble hitting WIDE OPEN jump shots.

2. What does it take to foul Wade or LeBron at the rim and not give them an easy finish to go along with it? Too many times I saw players like Keeyon Dooling grabbing the non-shooting hand hoping to just send them to the line, and then it turned into potential three point plays. Grab the fucking ball, bear hug them, at least do something.

3. Ray Allen could have taken the Celtics up 8 on a three...had he taken as much time on that three as he did on the three that sent it to OT. He was just as open and had just as much time.

Either way, I just want to say that we all know Miami is going to win this series, but they don't need all this help from the officiating. It's getting to be downright difficult to watch.

If he takes any more time he gets blocked. I forget who it was but some defender was flying in and almost got it as is, hence why Ray took his follow through down early.

I must have missed that. Either way, I knew it was over right there. Veteran resiliency needs a bigger cushion than 5 points. That was their dagger moment.

When a superior team plays a definitively inferior team, the back-breaker game is game 2. I think Miami could sweep it, now.

I doubt it. People like to say that, but Boston, as unlikely as it seems, just need to win 2 in a row to make it a series, same with the Thunder. I don't think either will happen, but that's what it takes. Remember last year they won Game 3 and then Rondo got hurt at the end, choked away Game 4 and THAT was the backbreaker. But the Celtics have to win Friday and Sunday, no question about it.

I still feel like the Thunder have a legitimate shot. I think playing a home, they could very well win both games.
I think Boston may steal 1 though.

See I look at it the other way. I can not in any way see the Spurs losing 2 games in a row while I can see the Heat losing 2 in a row (already happened once this postseason to an inferior team)

I don't think Boston will get swept, I think they'll split the next two games in Boston.

There will be lesser Heat biased calls when the game is in Boston

Either way, the officiating has been far too biased. There's obvious favoritism, and hopefully that ends in Boston.

he also said KG doesn't have the clutch gene and never did
That's true. I don't recall a single game winner he hit for Minnesota. There probably was one or two, but I saw him miss many close shots at the end of games.
