http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/05/27/lions-nick-fairley-arrested-for-dui-eluding-police/related/For the second time this offseason, Detroit’s 2011 first-round draft pick Nick Fairley has been arrested in Mobile, Alabama.
Fairley was arrested early this morning for driving under the influence and attempting to elude police, WALA in Alabama reports.
Alabama State Troopers told the TV station that Fairley was arrested shortly after 1 a.m. Sunday on I-10. In addition to the DUI and eluding police charges, Fairley was written tickets for reckless driving, no proof of insurance and having an open container of alcohol in his vehicle.
Fairley, who was a local high school star and an All-American at Auburn, posted $1,750 bond and was released at around 9 a.m.
On April 3, Fairley was arrested for marijuana possession. The Lions’ five-member 2011 draft class has now totaled five arrests this year, with Fairley and running back Mikel Leshoure arrested twice each and offensive tackle Johnny Culbreath arrested once. All of the other arrests were for marijuana possession.
