Lawrence Frank expects the Pistons’ most critical improvements to come from existing players.

"First, we have to get better internally," Frank said. "Improvement always starts with every player and coach doing better and working every day to get better so when we get together in October everybody percentage-wise has improved.

"There are a lot of different areas we can address to improve upon. I don't think we're one part or one player away from being a finished product. Continuing to add hard-working, team-first, competitive guys will make us better."

Frank was encouraged by what he saw during the final three months of the season, when the Pistons posted a 21-21 record.

"From February on, with a couple of exceptions, we were a very competitive group and showed some resiliency and gave ourselves a chance to win most games," Frank said. "The most frustrating part (of the season) was factors you can't control, the lockout and how quickly things were put together.

"The first month of the season ... too many times when we were knocked down we stayed down. But the encouraging part is from that point on we got better and (developed) an inner toughness and became a team that was hard to play against."

No you are pretty much wrong. We need to add better players to win. Stupid as hell to think otherwise (as Dumars probably thinks).

But hey, you took a potential top 3 pick and turned it into like the 9th pick. So good job there Frank. Deserve some mad kudos for that!

Think it is safe to say we are in for another uneventful off-season in Detroit.

I still don't get why yall gave Stuckey 8.3M a year.

Yall are in a tough spot, I'll be honest. The only guy currently on your roster that doesn't have a deal for next year is Ben Wallace (who's retiring right?). Jason Maxiell has a 5M player option, so who knows there. But everyone else has a contract, Ben Gordon at 12.4M, Stuckey at 8.5M, Prince at 6.7M, Villanueva at 8.1M, and so on.

I mean yall are already over the cap by 5M.

we cant deal any of the bad contracts cause theyre..really bad. our roster isnt any better than 9th worst and arent any better than 9th better. this roster doesnt mesh well at all and a lot of signs are pointing to us signing kaman with our whole mle. idfk. im really done with this team.

Sad thing is they say we would "love" to bring Maxiell back.

It's sad that we have such a complete moron at the helm of this team. It makes me so angry.
