LeBron James doesn’t believe this year’s NBA title should an asterisk attached to it because of the shortened season.

"I don't think that's right to say," James said. "I'm not going to get involved in it. Every team works hard no matter if it's a lockout year or not."

James believes the opposite is true, pointing to the challenges of the condensed schedule.

"This is a tough season; this is a difficult season for everyone," James said. "This is the toughest season since my rookie year. This is very challenging to us mentally and physically."

This is stupid. Its an NBA season, even if its a shortened season.

They should just stop the playoffs now and not crown a champ.

It should have an asterisk because of Derrick Rose's injury, not just the shortened season.

No matter what happens in the East, they're going to have a tough Finals match-up, and everyone was predicting them to run through the East anyway, so what does Rose going down really matter to how much stock you put in it?

I don't care if they are a better team in 2k, the Bulls still had a better regular season record than them. To say that they would have rolled through the east when they didn't even win the east in the regular season is a joke.

Well yeah. You don't want to say it would, because if you win it, it'll be believed you think an asterisk should be next to it.

I'd prefer to hear from someone not on a playoff team.

As if I base what team I think as better on a video game...

The Bulls are the LeBron James Cleveland Cavalier led teams, dominate the regular season with a star who masks all their offensive deficiencies but can't do it in a 7 game series against the best opponents.

A worse Miami team beat a better Chicago team last year. Thinking they won't be able to do it again when they have the personnel to shut down their only real offensive threat is stupid.

If Varejao was healthy and Mike Brown would have played JJ Hickson over Shaq in the Celtics series in 2010, the Cavs would have made the finals.

Also if LeBron had not faked and elbow injury, that would have helped.

Yes, I brought that classic out for a moment, in order to portray just how ridiculous playing an irrelevant and inconsistent power forward over a legend would have helped the Cavs to the Finals.

The Cavs had no chance against Boston in 2010. Also, you need to remember that had Perkins stayed healthy, Boston would have easily beaten the Lakers in the Finals.

It has more to do with the Celtics not being able to deal with athleticism, energy and offensive rebounding in the front court..

Way I see it is if the Heat lost Wade or LeBron they still have a good shot to beat Chicago. But Chicago losing Rose would eliminate any chance to beat Chicago. I understand, that is why you play the series, but this is why I don't think that argument about Chicago being out should be all that valid. Just my two sense.

Lebron James or Wade should get injured to even out all the teams in the East, lol.
