terrible
and he misses the olympics too. no big deal, but funny how Adidas' 2 main guys won't be able to market for them in the olympics now lol
On a Nike-sponsored team no less

And this sucks, if only for the fact that LeBron's ring will be devalued should it come because of their cakewalk to the Finals. In all honesty, no other team has me worried in the slightest to beat us in a 7 game series in the Eastern Conference. Maybe Boston has an outside chance, but other than that, it's too easy.

It's unlikely but they can. They still have the best defense in the league.

A focused Miami Heat team would not lose to a team led by Carlos Boozer, Joakim Noah, and Luol Deng. The Heat raped the Bulls last year with Derrick Rose and nearly an identical supporting cast.

So you're saying sometimes the Heat just decide we're not going to be focused and lose on purpose?

The not focused, not trying, not caring bullshit argument about the Heat needs to stop. If you're saying they're not always focused, then that's an indictment on those stars.

Teams can have bad games even when they're focused. Everyone just wants to dismiss every Heat loss with that label of not caring. They're not a perfect team.

Lose on purpose? No.

Not put forth maximum effort every night, especially against bad teams? Yes.

Former basketball players have said that it happens, for you to sit here and act like this stuff is all made up and just an excuse for their losses is incredibly ignorant.

Everyone has said from before the start of the season that the regular season achievements of the Heat and the key players on the Heat are meaningless, why should they care what happens either?

I never dismissed every Heat loss with not caring. When they lose because they were being careless with the basketball and not hustling on defense, that's an unfocused Heat team. When they lose because they're not executing in the half-court and the shots just aren't falling, then that's a focused Heat team that had a bad game.

As someone who watched nearly every game this year with League Pass, I can see the difference.

What's ignorant is dismissing every Heat loss or poor performance on "not caring".

They have no bench, and have two mediocre at best starters, that's a reason they lose. Also have very little size.

Did they not give their maximum effort in the finals last year? Was that it?

LeBron recently said he really wants to win MVP, but yea, regular season is meaningless to him, and he doesn't care.

I played in a tournament hosted by my school yesterday (my team won in the 1st round by 16, the second round by 31 and lost in the finals by 6 if that matters to anyone lol) and i was with some friends afterwards and someone was like "D-Rose just tore his MCL" and a discussion of how he should just retire broke out. I honestly hate to say it, but that's what I'm starting to feel as well. If he doesn't, we could see him lose his career to injuries. D-Rose has become fragile.

no he hasnt. that injury wasnt caused by contact or anything, it was just a "freak" accident. you guys are all overreacting. he will be fine.

The Bulls have yet to release official information on a timetable for Derrick Rose's surgery and rehabilitation plans after tearing his ACL on Saturday.

A safe estimated return from an ACL injury is six to nine months.

Rose's surgery is likely to be postponed two to three weeks in order to allow the initial swelling to subside, according to someone familiar with the injury.

You don't retire over a blown ACL. He'll get surgery, heal up, and he'll be fine. There is a chance he may not fully regain his explosion, but just for comparison's sake, RG3 blew his ACL a couple years ago, and he came back and won the Heisman and posted 4.3 speed in the 40. I realize that is just one example, but if he has the work ethic and determination to give everything he has throughout the rehab process, there's no reason to believe he can't be back at full strength a year from now. Hell, a D Rose at 90% is still more explosive than most players in the league.

I'm not sure if you were using the Brandon Roy situation as a reason for him to retire, but Roy was a way different case. He had an arthritic knee, and had no cartilage left. Dude was bone on bone by the time he called it quits. Rose has ligament damage, which can be repaired and strengthened.

I hate to say it, and I don't want to start a war, but Rose = McGrady?
Hope I'm wrong, but I feel like injures are going to hamper Rose his entire career.
